Is it as bad as I think it’s going to be?

I have been invited on a friends Hen Do. A friend who came to my Hen Do (night out in my home town) when she knew none of my friends which was quite nerve wracking for her.

Hen organiser (I know none of her friends) has invited me.

It’s a night out to see the Dreamboys.

I cannot imagine anything worse, it makes me cringe thinking about it - I am however free to go.

Do I make an excuse or suck it up (as it were)? Confused

Sounds awful. But...she came to yours even though it was nerve-wracking, when she could easily have made an excuse. You don't sound anxious, it's just not your thing. So you should go, for your friend. Smile

Sorry. Just RTFT and you do say it makes you feel really uncomfortable. In which case, I dunno... Sorry, totally useless Confused

I would go. I'm the same as you and it's not my thing AT ALL.

My friend booked it for hers and I thought about dropping out for ages, in the end I decided to go along. I hated it of course, But she had a great time and I was able to grin and bear it for a couple of hours and she loved it.

Plus it's normally in a bar so you can have a drink or two :)

I will need a drink or 5!!

She is a lot younger than me and (I think) looks up to me a bit.
