To want to throttle mums who complain their baby sleeps too much

Just that really. My baby doesn't sleep, has severe colic and is unhappy 90% of the time she is awake (which is a lot).

I've been to mummy groups and one mother was complaining that her baby seemed to sleep too much (12 hours at night and then 3x 2 hour naps during the day). I wanted to cry / launch something at her. My baby has not slept longer than 3 hours in one go her whole little life. She normally only does 1.5/2 hours at a time. She doesn't nap well either 😴

My second was like yours, it's so hard isn't it. He's turned 14 months and it's finally changed, I am sleeping again! My first slept 12 hrs a night with a 3 hr nap.
I never bothered with groups, which meant I had nothing to compare to and didn't stress over it.

Hope it gets better for you soon Wine

@CookPassBabtridge I think you've hit the nail - it's the comparisons that are the killer. It's hard enough as it is and you're able to keep going somehow and then you are derailed by an innocent comment someone else makes and you think you must be doing something wrong. If no one else around you is having these issues you must not be doing it right!? But I know I am and just need to keep reminding myself that those with babies who sleep better are just lucky and that is it.
