Swearing

AIBU to detest the amount of swearing on posts ? IMO it adds nothing and makes me think posters are uneducated to do this.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 09/07/2018 16:28

Netmums is less sweary I believe.

PsychoPumpkin · 09/07/2018 16:28

I think studies have suggested that sweary folk are actually more likely to be intelligent.

SoupDragon · 09/07/2018 16:29

Of course, every other time this thread has been done, it’s filled up with increasingly sweary posts.

Booboobooboo84 · 09/07/2018 16:31

I don’t know why you get so upset. I like the inventive lengths people go to with their swears - cockwomble being a particularly favourite new word I’ve learned lately.

PsychoPumpkin · 09/07/2018 16:31

And many Biscuit posts?

Cooroo · 09/07/2018 16:32

I enjoy swearing, unless it's used in an aggressive way, or just filling in because the speaker can't articulate any other words.

It's not the words that are offensive, it's the intent behind them. And you don't need to swear to be offensive.

Educated to fucking degree level.

ApocalypseNowt · 09/07/2018 16:33

Swear words can be fantastic for emphasis!

HardyforTom · 09/07/2018 16:33

I love a bit of cursing to be honest. If every other word in a sentence is fuck then it's not nice but a well phrased expletive is good fun and shows a well rounded vocabulary in my opinion.

surlycurly · 09/07/2018 16:37

I'm terribly fuck

surlycurly · 09/07/2018 16:38

Oops fucking sweary and terribly fucking educated.

SnotGoblin · 09/07/2018 16:39

I’m a swearer. If it adds nothing then I’d conjecture it detracts nowt and all. Jog on. Politely.

SilverySurfer · 09/07/2018 16:47

I know, it's fucking awful isn't it. Nethuns don't like swearing, they are ----->> that way,

GreenEyedBlonde · 09/07/2018 16:50

I'm a big fan of swearing - I do however absolutely fucking loathe all the stupid abbreviations on here!

nervousnails · 09/07/2018 16:51

I fucking hate swearing. Grin

ijustwannadance · 09/07/2018 16:56

Yes you fucking ABU.

WeirdCatLady · 09/07/2018 16:57

Yeah, I’m a fucking postgrad cunt and you don’t see me using bastard swearing. Yawn. If you don’t like it, feel free to fuck right off.

AuntieStella · 09/07/2018 17:01

MN describes itself as 'the one with the swearing', so it's not reasonable to be surprised that it does exactly what it says in the tin, and that it has a community which is happy with that.

Other sites, which do not permit searing, are readily avaiobake for those who do not want to read it.

Confusedbeetle · 09/07/2018 17:03

swearing adds nothing to a decent argument. A waste of words. Use only in extremes, eg a brick falling on your foot. It is for extreme emotion, not casual banter. Boring

runninggnomeintothedesertfree · 09/07/2018 17:06

What a load of cock and bull, there have been many studies to show that fucking swearing shows a higher intelligence and a wider bastard vocabulary. Ps OP cuntytits are you a troll?

MonaLisaSimpson · 09/07/2018 17:06

I don't think I swear a lot but sometimes it feels fucking good to tell someone to fuck the fuck off, and then when they've fucked off they can fuck off a bit more. You are being fucking unreasonable.

runninggnomeintothedesertfree · 09/07/2018 17:08

Anyone else love the kings speech when Bertie fucking swears? Cuntflaps is a weird swear word for me fuckgoblins is hilarious, cocknobblers made me laugh. anyone else heard of bitchychesticles?

InspectorIkmen · 09/07/2018 17:09

I'm terribly fuck

Oh me too!! Grin

GorgeousJaws · 09/07/2018 17:12

I'm an adult, I can handle a bit of swearing. I know where the door is if I don't like it.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 09/07/2018 17:13

Oh good, yet another one of these threads-not like we haven't gone over this before... Oh wait, yes we fucking have Hmm
If you're not a fan then I'd suggest you give Netmums a try, apparently they're less sweary but more cliquey folks.
