Surely there would be an outcry if they tried to get rid of Southgate? He’s been amazing - we couldn’t wish for a better manager who is actually as invested as the players.

MinorRSole · 11/07/2018 22:22

Commiserations from at least one Scot here. I've no real interest in football but it would have been nice to see you reach the finals though. Think you can all be proud of your team, from what I gather they are very young so maybe next time 🤞

ToffeeUp · 11/07/2018 22:22

Best to ignore these Roy Keane like wind up merchants and get back to the great football we have been watching

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 11/07/2018 22:22

They'd be stupid to get rid of Southgate.

He took a group of world cup rookies and they got to the semis.

Even with all the talent of well known players we've had in recent years, they couldnt pull that off.

hope so Cornettoninja

WhiteHartLane · 11/07/2018 22:24

Hear hear Toffee. Waiting for the delightful Paul Merson to blame Spurs for England losing!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 11/07/2018 22:25

Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, they are all big teams and still couldnt get there.

England got to the semis and lost out to another teams experience and strength.

There is not shame in losing.

No, hats off to Pickford, in all fairness.

IcedPurple · 11/07/2018 22:26

Lol Toffee Roy Keane at least is intelligent!

ToffeeUp · 11/07/2018 22:30

Now let's beat Belgium on Saturday!

ToffeeUp · 14/07/2018 14:23

Come on England! Anyone watching?

brizzledrizzle · 14/07/2018 14:31

You bet! :-)

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 14/07/2018 14:36

Yep! Got me junk food ready.

OP posts:
WhiteHartLane · 14/07/2018 14:43

Yep, two strong teams named-looking forward to it.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 14/07/2018 14:58

You know when you are getting older when you start fancying younger lads. I've got 10 years on some of them boys and I would.

OP posts:
ToffeeUp · 14/07/2018 15:04

Oh dear

JacquesHammer · 14/07/2018 15:04

Terrible defending there. Poor start

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 14/07/2018 15:05

Wake up lads.

OP posts:
ToffeeUp · 14/07/2018 15:08

Again far too easy

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 14/07/2018 15:09

Well now I see why England dont scored that much. They put the brakes on a breakaway far too early. They dont have much confidence.

OP posts:
ToffeeUp · 14/07/2018 15:11

Most players are closer to my son in age then me, I feel quite protective about them

JacquesHammer · 14/07/2018 15:11

I’m surprised by the continued faith in Sterling. Unarguably got amazing pace but his finishing has been woeful.

Decent save by Pickford there

ToffeeUp · 14/07/2018 15:12

Got lucky there Shock

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 14/07/2018 15:14

I wish they had more confidence and more fire. They have talent but no drive.

OP posts:
TaliZorahVasNormandy · 14/07/2018 15:15

That's more like it. Just go for goal.
