To be really annoyed with my neighbour

I was woken up on my first lie in in two weeks, at 7.55 this morning with drilling (horrible grinding metal noise) coming from next door's garden. It's now 9.15 and they have the radio on full blast and the hammering has started! I understand Saturday is a day to get work done but I work full time and have a five year old dd so rarely get a lie in. This woman has her radio on loud most weekends and was building a bar once at 7.30 am on a Saturday. I get on with her ok so don't want to go round and complain at her in case it rocks the boat but aibu to think she has no consideration for others?!

the work she is doing, is fair enough but to accompany it with loud music is inconsiderate of her so she is partially unreasonable

I am an early bird, I woke up at 6.15 today. I have no idea what time my neighbours get up, the one we are attached to has no kids but most adults I know are still up by 8 on weekends so I wouldn't be expecting people to still be asleep then. It's easy to lose track of how early it is if you get up early too.

You need to have a conversation with the neighbour, they may have no idea you lie in that late. As I said for people I know (excluding my brother) it's quite unusual. And none have DC.

My neighbour has hired a digger. He’s been on it every day, shovelling gravel and cutting pario slabs 8am-10pm every evening and is on it now as well. And started at 8am this morning.
He’s driving me insane.

Earplugs are the way forward

I feel your pain I have had to come in as NDN are outside on patio with music ( rubbish music) on very loud. Talking loud over the top of it and dogs are barking incessantly every so often. I think it might be an anti football party. Several relatives. My DH has gone to the pub to watch match and DD is out all DSs are working so I was looking forward to sitting reading in the garden 😟 the neighbour behind has music so loud we can hear it in here.
I wake up early but try not to do anything noisy until about 9:30 -10 am. Other side kids are up at 6am shouting a nd screaming or he starts building something before eight. I drop loud hints.

Been away for the night. Got back and she is having a party now-music louder than ever.

Why on earth do people have to play their music loud? Are they all deaf? What is it that makes people think they can force their choice of music on everybody?

Shouting and screaming kids isn't on _ playing and enjoying yourself is one thing, screeching so loud others can here it in their homes and gardens isn't ok. A bit of consideration for others is needed.

The other day dd was shouting a little bit and I shushed her because ndn was asleep in sunlounger. Yet we have to music on really loud if we want to hear it over hers! I'm getting really fed up with her. DP did ask her to turn it down though because dd couldn't hear the tv earlier. And she did turn it down and the party wrapped up soon after.
