War on chub rub

Would really like to wear a dress tomorrow. I always end up with the itchiest chub rub at the end of the day. Any recommendations welcome :)

Bandalettes are the only thing that's ever worked for me.

I've been every size from an 8 to a 16 and had chub rub even at my smallest.

Ethylred · 06/07/2018 22:54

Er, lose weight?

JustDoOne · 06/07/2018 22:56

Roll on deodorant works for me. Doubt it matters, but I use Dove.

JustDoOne · 06/07/2018 22:57

Cunty remark Ethylred.

Tisgrand · 06/07/2018 23:39

I second Lanacane anti chafing gel. Readily available (eg boots) and relatively cheap (10 euro here in Ireland). Also I seem to remember everyone raving about it a few years ago as a primer v similar to the original smashbox one.

Moonkissedlegs · 06/07/2018 23:44

I use Lanacane as a primer but it doesn't work to stop chub rub on me!

Ollivander84 · 06/07/2018 23:47

Big bloomers company as above! They're fab

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 06/07/2018 23:57

I use talc but if I walk too much my legs get sweaty and it needs reapplying.

Ethylred odfod.

I used to be a size 10-12 and danced t days per week. Still had chub rub. And even if losing weight did work it's hardly a quick fix solution

AnneWiddecombesHandbag · 07/07/2018 07:34

I use sure max protection. A creamy one is best. Not a sticky roll on.

AnneWiddecombesHandbag · 07/07/2018 07:35

The max protection lasts all day.

Odiepants · 07/07/2018 07:50

Another vote for the Big Bloomers comfort shorts. Really light weight and airy. No rubbing at all.

Ethylred sorry to say.... your an arsehole mate!

Mammalamb · 19/07/2018 10:53

Sloggi long length pants. Quite expensive but worth it. I’ve suffered chub rub since my early teens (was a size 12 but with huge thighs) and this has made a massive difference

Mammalamb · 19/07/2018 10:56

Ethyl I’ve had chub rub at a size 12 (more like today’s size 10). My mother was a size 20 at the time and didn’t suffer it. The reason was that she had a different body shape so her legs didn’t rub together. For some folk losing weight helps, but for many folk it’s body shape

KinkyAfro · 19/07/2018 11:04

I've lost a lot of weight in the last 2 years (7.5 stone) and my chub rub is worse now! When I was bigger, my legs didn't move from the knee up lol.

I wear comfort shorts but I cut a good chunk of the crotch area out, otherwise things get a bit steamy in the groinage

bringincrazyback · 19/07/2018 11:05

Grow up Ethylred.

Dmacka75 · 19/07/2018 11:08

Jockies Skimmies Slipshorts Long Length- expensive but worth it, nothing else has worked for me
