Just that really..

I read the first one from a woman who works in a crematorium, haven't bothered with the rest,

LilMadAgain · 30/06/2018 20:35

flippyfloppy I apologise, I didn't mean to imply that you thought people who wanted real knowledge from a funeral director should Google it. I did Google it and all I found was American funeral directors (not relevant to me, I don't live in America). I emailed and then spoke on the phone to a funeral director who although he was nice enough and told me my experience was horrid also told me to let it go and not pursue the matter any further. It's a very difficult field to research apparently! I am sorry for your losses. I hope your family members in the funeral trade are better at their jobs than the ones I experienced.

TerfsUp · 30/06/2018 20:35

’m a spy. Don’t ask me anything.

That one sounds good. I'll have to read it.

JessicaJonesJacket · 30/06/2018 20:37

I wish they'd disappear. Let's be honest, if they were interesting enough to merit an AMA then they could get MN to host a webchat. At least then people would know they genuinely had the experience they claim. Otherwise, it's just a random on the internet . . .

RadioDorothy · 30/06/2018 20:38

I open the ones that interest me and ignore the others. If only I were so fascinating I'd do one myself, but "I'm a compliance officer in financial services" doesn't mean much to anyone.

I could do "I'm fat, AMA"

CadyHeron · 30/06/2018 20:43

YABU.
Don't read them if they're not your thing? I find them really interesting.
Unless you mean the posters dicks who think they're oh so hilarious with I'm a snail, ask me anything type ones.

StripySocksAndDocs · 30/06/2018 20:45

Must confess I've never read one. Though I have found myself slightly irritated by the capitalisation of whatever career it is. Especially the 'Primary School Headteacher', she needs to take lessons from the private school secretary. Grin

I didn't even know I was a pendant. Might start a thread "I am a grammar pendant, ask me anything." Sneaky feeling Muphry's law would visit (especially as grammar isn't my strong suit). This might be a small issue.

MurryFinge · 30/06/2018 20:47

I’d like to see an AMA section. I sell worn shoes to pervs on eBay and would probably start a thread.

bigsighall · 30/06/2018 20:49

Yabu

MissedTheMemo · 30/06/2018 20:50

Yes. Far too many it's running chat. I'm so over it.

user546425732 · 30/06/2018 20:50

YABU, they are fascinating.

hazeyjane · 30/06/2018 20:59

I just don't get it, people make up all sorts of shit, and even if they aren't the ops aren't omniscient beings (apart from the one I started - I'm an omniscient being. Ask me anything.....which I did before I saw any of the other jokey ones, because I was trying to be sarcastic and I was pissed off)

Velvete · 30/06/2018 21:01

Yes.

Velvete · 30/06/2018 21:01

I mean I agree with you.

TerfsUp · 30/06/2018 21:05

Though I have found myself slightly irritated by the capitalisation of whatever career it is. Especially the 'Primary School Headteacher', she needs to take lessons from the private school secretary. grin

I didn't even know I was a pendant. Might start a thread "I am a grammar pendant, ask me anything."

My first question would be "if you are such a grammar pedant, why do you commit basic grammatical errors?".

Weedsnseeds1 · 30/06/2018 21:08

I inadvertently participated in one a while ago.The original question was about the poster's husband eating stuff from the bin.
I started to answer questions, as did another poster, as we are both Food Scientists,/ Food Technologists.
Neither of us started it, we just answered questions.
Did we do something wrong?

LostwithSawyer · 30/06/2018 21:16

I agree, they need to disappear!
They're pointless might as well say - I'm a human ask me anything....

pinkgirl1234 · 30/06/2018 21:17

I agree wholeheartedly so IMO YANBU, although as people can post about whatever they like, I guess we're both being unreasonable. Smile

That lap dancing one should have had the title "ask me anything as long as you're fawning all over me and crawling up my arse".

StripySocksAndDocs · 30/06/2018 21:48

@TerfsUp 😁 editing is everything in quoting isn't it.

pinkgirl1234 · 30/06/2018 22:24

even if they aren't the ops aren't omniscient beings

Absolutely! And omniscient is a fabulous word. Not one I manage to drop into everyday conversation unfortunately. Grin

hazeyjane · 30/06/2018 22:59

I mean ffs, there is now a cam girl one. MurryFinge, your well worn shoe seller might get a few posts from clammy handed slipper sniffers.

thugmansion · 30/06/2018 23:15

They're popping up quicker than I can hide them sob

hazeyjane · 30/06/2018 23:51

Aaand now a high class escort....of course she's high class and enjoyed it (funny how all the sex work ones just lived their job!)

Bets on what's next.....Dominatrix? Porn star?

'I piss on guys for a living. Ask me anything'

Such fun.

hazeyjane · 30/06/2018 23:52

Loved not lived

InTheRoseGarden · 30/06/2018 23:55

I think it makes a nice change from all the trolls Grin
