Porridge for breakfast yet sick hungry by 9!!

Probably not the right topic but not sure where else to put this.

I have porridge for breakfast with skimmed (lactofree) milk and golden syrup. Cup of tea with the same milk.

I have porridge as following a low FODMAP diet for ibs. Can't eat gluten free bread as makes me feel sick. Sometimes I add chia seeds for extra protein.

I eat around 7.15-7.30 and then walk (I don't drive) the kids to school. It's over a mile, involves 2 big hills and I'm pushing my 3 year old in his buggy. The school run accounts for 5 miles of walking a day.

By the time I've dropped them off at 9 my stomach feels hollow to the point of feeling nauseous. I thought porridge was supposed to be really good at keeping you full!

I'm breastfeeding but only morning and night mainly so twice a day and have put weight on since dropping the number of feeds so don't want to be eating more.

AIBU to expect my breakfast to keep me from feeling hungry for more than 90 minutes??

I'm currently eating a large portion of full at Greek yoghurt with summer berries and a sprinkle of porridge. My mouth is struggling with the bitterness of the yoghurt and the tartness of the fruits 🙈

Where did you get your Greek yogurt from?

Aldi or Lidl own brand is lovely and creamy. Not bitter at all. I didn't realise how good it was until I got Morrisons instead, which was very sour and thin in comparison.

It's from Asda, authentic Greek yoghurt. I will have to check if my Aldi sells it as I was only able to get this through delivery, authentic seems hard to find in stores. I love Greek yoghurt but have only had it flavoured so wasn't sure what to expect!

I've bought rice porridge from Tesco today and hoping to get to Waitrose to get the steel cut oats as Tesco doesn't sell them. I've been told to be careful with them though and build up my tolerance
I can't say making the porridge overnight and soaking the chia seeds made any difference to my fullness.

Tesco had some really nice rice flakes, they make a lovely rice pudding with coconut milk if you can have that.

Would brown rice be a better bet?
