To ask how on earth you deal with an itchy fanjo when out in public?!

I'm currently sitting on a packed train with a severely itchy fanjo and I think people are starting to notice me suddenly sitting bolt upright and wiggling

I'm desperate to have a good old scratch but think it might raise some eyebrows

HOW do you cope with this in public?!

Just scratch, fuck it.

It's a body part t he same as any other and one which doesn't get much air.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 22/06/2018 17:50

I put my bag on my lap (it is quite big) and I try and discreetly scratch behind it

BertieBotts · 22/06/2018 17:51

Go to the toilet?

MrsGideon · 22/06/2018 17:51

I'm in a table seat surrounded on sides by men, so it's not really an option Blush

Bertie the carriage is packed so no way of getting there unfortunately!

More a general question though - do people just have a rummage if the need calls??

Men always scratch at their bits - they won't mind! Wink

MrsGideon · 22/06/2018 17:55

When True, though from experience they don't always like it when we do the stuff they do Wink

JavaJava · 22/06/2018 17:57

Fuck it. Give it a good scratch OP. Grin

Elkcuhc56 · 22/06/2018 17:57

Itchy fanjo

Isn't that the guy from Diversity

JavaJava · 22/06/2018 17:58

And make some loud and exaggerated "aaaah that's better" noises at the same time Grin

LuxeLisbon · 22/06/2018 17:59

Loud cough, cover mouth with one hand, slap your v with the other hand

thousandpapercranes · 22/06/2018 17:59

Elkcuhc56 I hope that was a joke 🤣🤣🤣

brizzledrizzle · 22/06/2018 18:01

Make an entrance like when you get on the train and then nobody will notice or care what you do after that.

thousandpapercranes · 22/06/2018 18:04

I have eczema in the crease of my groin, so I do get itchy when I’m having a particularly bad flare up. I itch in the loo, failing that the large bag on lap and scratch discreetly, if absolutely desperate.

MrsGideon · 22/06/2018 18:05

Genuinely snorting at some of your replies (which is an attractive accompaniment to the wiggling)

tigercub50 · 22/06/2018 18:07

Elk that was hilarious!

brizzledrizzle · 22/06/2018 18:08

OP, Maybe you'll just be glad you don't have to contend with problem then.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 22/06/2018 18:09

Thinking about it; I don't think I've ever done this... I've been lucky!

Realistically I think toilet or a big bag in the way are the only way forwards.

TheHallouminati · 22/06/2018 18:11

I sort of cross my legs and clench my thighs together. Pressure sort of relieves the itch. I hate that men can have a proper rummage, readjustment and even look smug whilst doing it yet we cant.

NoelHeadbands · 22/06/2018 18:12

I’d probably tug at my waistband in an effort to create some scratchy friction, crotchwards.

MeMyselfand · 22/06/2018 18:16

The dog has chewed through most of my jeans pockets looking for treats which has actually worked out in my favour, I can now scratch an itch discreetly if I ever get one. Occasionally I forget though put something in my pocket and it falls out my trouser legs 😳

So I suggest when you get home cut holes in all trouser pockets in case you ever get an itch again, if you've a skirt on I have no suggestions sorry

MrsGideon · 22/06/2018 18:16

Noel Alas I'm wearing a breezy summer dress

It's taken on a distinctly ants-in-pants like quality now

Gawd

Brahumbug · 22/06/2018 18:18

That reminds of the joke about the man who thought an itchy fanny was a Japanese motorbike Grin

MariaMadita · 22/06/2018 18:18

Are they men you're close to? Scratch away.

Are they complete strangers? Who the fuck cares what they think.

Is one of them your boss or priest? Suffer in silence ;)

MrsGideon · 22/06/2018 18:27

Maria Strangers who already looked at me disapprovingly for daring to want the absolute minimum legroom 🙄
