Because I’m under 30.

According to the oh so wise man in the pub.

What the actual fuck, who thinks like that Grin

Aibu to think he’s a weirdo one off or do lots of people have that opinion?!

Why wouldn’t you? It’s a bar at a pub, not in a nightclub. We have zero childcare as we’re expats- where we go, baby goes. And where baby goes, baby eats. What wrong with that?!

NotUmbongoUnchained · 20/06/2018 17:44

How did the comment come about?

My friend who was with them, asked me how the kids were. He then came out with “you have kids? More than one? You don’t look old enough!” I told him I was 27 and he cane out with “People have no business having kids before 30”

Is a baby drinking milk somehow more disgusting than a grown up drinking his fourth pint of beer?

Grin
NotUmbongoUnchained · 20/06/2018 17:59

whatshall you also sound delightful. Are you ok hun?

Breastfeeding at the bar, even in a pub? That's awfully rude, don't you have any self respect and try to find a more subtle place?

Some people should be embarrassed to behave that way.

I have taken all my kids with me whenever I went, but you can be a bit subtle about things.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 20/06/2018 18:18

Oh fuck off you weirdo

OP posts:
Goostacean · 20/06/2018 18:20

I think we’ll have to agree to disagree on the hypothetical breastfeeding situation. See, OP, the man was right! Probably if I’d had my baby over the age of 30 I’d know how to behave in public 😂

MissionItsPossible · 20/06/2018 18:29

ikeepaforkinmypurse

Oh god, the idiocy...

TheSausageEmperor · 20/06/2018 18:31

Aye okay then Grin

busybarbara · 20/06/2018 18:31

That's ridiculous. People usually say the other way around, for partly good reason to be fair giving the incredible risks

Goostacean · 20/06/2018 18:32

Ahaha! I was being so diplomatic and peaceful, @NotUmbongoUnchained

In answer to your OP, people are weird. Ignore. shrug Not worth spoiling your pub trip with nonsense! 😊

Benandhollysmum · 20/06/2018 18:33

Some people come out with strange things. HE SHould mind his own business tho the gossipy old sweety wife

your language proves my point on what kind of people would find acceptable to breastfeed a baby at the bar.

I am guessing your are one of these mothers changing nappies on the table, and allowing your precious darlings to run around without supervision?

No wonder some pubs had to ban children because of people like you. Honestly, breastfeeding at the bar.. what's next? I would say in the pool, but it has already been done

hibbledibble · 20/06/2018 18:46

Under 30 is the best time to have children medically. Yanbu.

I had 3 by 30

TheFirstMrsDV · 20/06/2018 18:51

Wow, your husband sounds delightful. Does he often "deck" people?

Close competition for wankiest comment of the day. So hard to call tonight.

Goostacean · 20/06/2018 18:51

No one is actually breastfeeding at any bar- it was a suggestion by a pp! 🙄 Goodness.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 20/06/2018 19:05

Your actually insane.

FYI, I’ve never actually taken either of my children to a pub. So no, I’m not one of those parents.

I didn’t breastfeed either 🤭

good grief Hmm
some people shouldn't be allowed to have kids, honestly.

Racecardriver · 20/06/2018 19:11

Sadly a lot if people think that. I don't really see why they presume to have an oppiniin.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 20/06/2018 19:11

Where are these crazy assumptions even coming from?!

OP posts:
NotUmbongoUnchained · 20/06/2018 19:13

Why? Because I’m under 30? Or because I didn’t breastfeed? Or because I’ve never taken my kids to a pub?

I don’t understand your ire.

He then went on to tell me in graphic detail about how delivering his wife’s fifth baby nearly killed her. And how his one year old fell out of a first floor window.

I know I shouldn't have laughed, but... Blush

Goostacean · 20/06/2018 19:17

I think Ikeepafork is trolling now 😊

NotUmbongoUnchained · 20/06/2018 19:19

I miss when trolls tried to be funny.

I’m reminded of when my friend told me I was “too f*cking young” to be getting married... three weeks after he attended my wedding. I was 24, hardly a child-bride! People love having opinions (me included, to be fair!). 😁
