I noticed it changed after a Tesco delivery. It not says birth - 6 months, whereas I thought first milk was both to 12 months (my daughter is 8 months now). Also the amount of fluoride has doubled ?

Thankfully not using aptimil. I use aldi's mamia, not had any problems and it only £6.99 a tub. Used it since my little one was born (They don't do ready made for a PP that mentioned it). And they don't have restrictions with bulk buying. I buy 5 on payday to last the month.
I'm just saying if people are thinking about switching aldi's is a good choice in my opinion. I've used the first milk all the way up to now (lo is 11 and a half months) because aldi don't do special promotions.
I just thought I'd let people know my experiences if you are looking for a new brand.

A friend of mine works in a feeding clinic for new mum's and the formula change has made some babies quite sick, she also said many of her mum's have noticed its not dissolving/blending as well :(

My gc was given aptamil with no problems for the first couple of weeks. Then, when a 'new package' was opened, DC noticed it had a strange smell and didn't mix. As new parents they were meticulous about following the pack instructions both when mixing themselves and when using their machine. They changed to one of the other brands and dgc is happier and hasn't suffered any I'll effects from the change.
Clearly the change is not one that is imagined and has had very adverse effects for some poor babies. Aptamil need to listen to their customers soon, unless they want to go the way of ostermilk.

Aptimal and cow and gate are similar but not the same. My DD couldn't keep SMA or cow and gate down but was much better with Aptimal. The drs in scbu told me that cow and gate is much more harsh on babies tummies than Aptimal. There are differences to the formula both are fine but are not the same.
