I've spent most of my life working in/with audits so every time I type or write Audi (as in the car make) I automatically put a T on the end......

I've owned 4, so you can imagine how many times when signing into client premises I've mis typed/written Audi Grin

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 09/10/2018 20:48

Common words,

Receive (always do ‘ie’)
Occasion (two ‘c’s, two ‘s’s or both? Brain fart every time).
Broccoli (I want to type brocolli or broccolli).

TheClitterati · 09/10/2018 20:51

costacoffeecup · 09/10/2018 20:54

I can never remember the difference between stationery and stationary. I have checked it loads of times but always immediately forget. I made up a mnemonic-e is for envelope - eventually. But I keep forgetting that too.

@Fatasfook I don't think it's quite a zombie, to be fair, but I'm laughing at @FrangipaniBlue replying with the same word again 3+ months after the original!

Shadow1234 · 09/10/2018 22:00

Miscellaneous or miscelanneous? It always looks wrong whichever way i spell it.

Cocknose · 09/10/2018 22:21

affectionincoldclimate · 09/10/2018 23:13

Mammysin · 09/10/2018 23:15

Am a spelling (and grammar) pedant but accommodation always has me foxed....

willstarttomorrow · 09/10/2018 23:27

Academy. Always try to spell it with two c's. I type it a hundred times a month in various reports (all schools seem to be one now)!
DD proudly told me tonight she had a spelling test today and got 10/10. She is a reader and generally spells well but apparently she always can never remember how to spell 'friends' because of forgetting i before e. However Dua Lipa spells it out so all okay!

LemonysSnicket · 09/10/2018 23:33

Immediate and definitely

LemonysSnicket · 09/10/2018 23:34

StripySocksAndDocs · 09/10/2018 23:38

So many words. Too many to mention in fact. Writing takes an ages for me as I have to check what I’ve written frequently. Plus I’m cursed with a weird overwhelming need to put a ‘u’ after an ‘o’ in words.
