To think American Horror Story is the most disappointing pile of shite

Every time the new theme for the season is released I think ooooh that sounds interesting. Then instead of a well planned out storyline that you can get in to, you get something that feels like a write your own adventure. Where every writer adds a new line without seeing the previous one.

Aibu to say it's shite and I can't get the hype over it

Loved the first 3 series. Tried so hard to get into the 4th... just hated it. The Freakshow series is one of the highest rates ones too, I just didn't get it and never watched anymore.

Seasons 1 and 2 were great (s1 was schlocky but fun). 3 was dreadful, 4 was enjoyable but haven’t managed to get through any of the seasons since. They are dire.

looking forward to series 8 it talks a good talk so hopefully it will be good,haven't enjoyed since freakshow and really can't get on with lady Gaga being in any 😢

The talk for me is the issue. If it were just crap I could get just leave it but it lures you in with promises and doesn't deliver. I don't understand why all the big names are wanting to be in it either

I love them all of them - except Roanoke, season 9 is supposedly going to bring them all together.

It took me 2 attempts to watch Hotel because I was judging Lady Gaga being in it but now it's one of my favourite seasons!

I loved it at first but gave up in the middle of the witch one, so boring. Don't think I'll go back.

It's a very mixed bag. The only ones i've really enjoyed have been Murder House, Asylum, Hotel and Roanoke. Theyre all a bit of a slow burn though and in my opinion the series' are far too long. If it was 8 episodes or something I think it'd cut a lot of the crap and be great.

The recent Cult one was dreadful and we didn't finish it.

There are hit & miss series. My favourite was probably Asylum. I wasn't keen on the last one mainly because I'm terrier of clowns

Season 2: Amazing
Season 3: Good
Season 4: Boring (only watched half)
Season 5: Wtf? Shit. (Only watched one episode)
Season 6: Very good
Season 7: Very good

It’s trash but it’s fun trash for me, I go in expecting it to be a bit pants and fun but I have low expectations. It’s very silly but entertaining!

It’s flawed - they introduce so many arcs/storylines and so many loose ends are left untied (or they just kill the character off to avoid wrapping up their story!) but I still have a soft spot for it!!

Liked them all apart from Roanoke, but season 1 was my favourite

How could you not love Cult?

"Lesbians, we're under attack!" it was funny in a rather tongue in cheek way.

I am really looking forward to seeing how they're all tied together.

Sarah Paulson's character just really irritated me, and I didn't believe that the girlfriend would have been sucked into the cult. I also prefer it when Evan plays handsome characters!

It's not the same without Jessica Lange

Jessica Lange is great. Best line from the coven series when she’s asked if she’s in charge there. Her reply “I’m in charge everywhere”

Oh I love it! Couldn't get on with coven. That violet girl annoys me and it just felt flat. Murder house is my absolute fave!
Cult I dipped in and out so hoping Netflix gets it to binge before I judge. Roanoke was meh for me until half through then I enjoyed it.

I have a massive crush on Evan Peters though.

Freak Show is my favourite - I liked how they explored the characters and I thought it was an interesting angle. I also liked that they employed really great, diverse disabled actors and treated them with respect. I also liked Coven but felt it was crazily rushed and had an unsatisfying ending.

I hated the coven one, but loved the first 2 seasons - the asylum being my favourite. I kind of enjoyed hotel but thought it was a bit daft in places. I always enjoy Kathy Bates’ characters though

It’s definitely gone well off the boil, I’d watched them all previously but couldn’t finish Cult, it was so dull I actually forgot about it repeatedly until I just stopped bothering.

1-3 were good, I adored Coven and have watched it repeatedly but mostly for the style and the Fiona/Axe Man relationship, the plot isn’t up to much.

4 was grim but I soldiered through it, 5 I enjoyed but the plot is made of Swiss cheese, again I was really watching for the mad fashion and the style of the building.

Roanoke was dull, dull, dull... I didn’t like the theme or the way it was structured and my god Kathy Bates was unbearable!
I shall take a peek at the next one but I’m not holding out much hope, I think the creators are far too self indulgent now. Nice to gab about it though, I don’t know anyone IRL that watches!

I have to say, though, 'Liz Taylor' is my favourite character.

I loved Hotel, the end is lovely in its own twisted way. I've never finished Coven and I only saw the first one of Cult. I'm hoping the new one is good.

Freak Show is wonderful, I’m amazed some don’t like it - it’s very dark but brilliantly so. Asylum is by far the best season IMO. Hotel was utterly hideous.

How can anyone not love Roanoke?! I thought it was the best by far and it took a lot to beat series one and two!

Jessica Lange made the show for me until Roanoke, but its just turning barmy now. I didn't watch Coven and only some of Freakshow and totally gave up on Cult, that was the worst so far.

Murder House will always be great as the show as so simple yet fascinating. The best part of the show was the flashback at the beginning of each episode which showed how a resident ended up there. And now I really wanna watch again!

I gave up on Roanoke after about three episodes. Then tried again and got a bit further. Accidentally read about the mid point spoiler, maybe I’ll try again. Haven’t bothered watching Cult yet

Iv loved most liked all the rest except cult.

Most of the characters were so uninteresting to the point that you just didn't care enough to even bother if they were good bad or lived or died.
The cult leader was an unconvincing arse hole so how the hell did he ever convince anyone to join never mind murder for him!

I liked the journalist woman and the side/secret story of the lesbian cult.
