I have quite a cool job, I would be well off if it was full time, sadly it isn’t.

Personally I want to work really really hard for peanuts, Just like everyone else I know

Commit a certain amount of time (for me 15Yrs) where all you do is work.

Then invest the fruits of your labour (BTL Property for me) and slowly but surely work up a portfolio over the years...

Then you can do fun stuff like horses and spend all the time with your DD etc

Still has its down sides TBH - living with no structure is difficult at first - no one to answer to BUT also no one to say whether your doing well or not / nothing tomato your successes against...

I’m older than most here and a bit old fashioned in my thinking having grown up in the 50’s and 60’s, and I’m dismayed that there are so many women here who are resorting to suggesting sex work as a means to make money.

OP Become your own boss. Start your own respectable profitable business. I started my own manufacturing business about 30 yrs ago and it was very lucrative and exciting. I shipped all over the world and so I traveled, became very well known in the field and it was fun - although very stressful at times. The rest of the time it was like a hobby that paid and I was my own boss. (It was nothing to do with make-up or any other girlie shit. I cracked into a traditional men’s arena).

After being on MN for a while now I’m starting to believe many younger women’s idea of equality is making their so-called ‘partner’ get up in the night to take of her baby and to do half the housework.

My friend is a GoPro experience promoter. He flies around the world doing cool stuff that they use to sell the dream. Not sure what he earns but it looks cool.
