So a friend of mine pretended to be a french on a night out for laughs (i wasnt there), shes actually fluent in french because she spent a few years there as a kid, but shes not french at all.

So she actually ended up getting into this guy and them swapping numbers. She really likes him but apparently there was never really a right time to stop it and be like "ok look, heres my normal voice, and im from croydon and my name isnt celine". So she ends up on a second date, still doing to accent!

Obviously now its ridiculous and the worst part is she genuinely really likes the guy - he seems to really likr her too HOWEVER he also seems to really like the french aspect so...

She absolutely has to come clean.
He may well walk, but if that’s the case it was never going to last anyway.
It’s ridiculous to think it’s reasonable to carry on this deception. To find out further down the line would be disastrous! She has to tell him the truth now. Explain it was a bit of a laugh to begin with and now she feels awkward as she really likes him.

I told a guy in a bar I was a model once. Why I don’t know as I am not beautiful at all Confused. He was polite and just went along with it. He asked me about my most recent fictional job. I said it was in Milan the previous weekend. I had really spent that weekend with my parents in Cornwall.

She just needs to come clean and admit it and take it from there. If he only likes her because she is French, he is a dud.

Actually, I did this once and I don't even speak French! Luckily, the guy I met probably could not speak it either. The next day he was looking around campus for 'the French girl'.

She just needs to be honest, or it will all tern to 'les pantalon' pretty quick!

I once told a guy I was American. I had to keep the accent up all evening. Ah those were the days...
