And if i give 15 little gifts can you give me clues as to what is most likely to be genuinely appreciated please.

I thought a voucher for amazon if that is the better of the 2 ideas.

Def voucher

HarrietKettleWasHere · 09/06/2018 11:19

Voucher, I can't imagine wanting 15 random things that cost a pound at fifteen.

cowfacemonkey · 09/06/2018 11:19

Voucher. But then I hate tat and knick knacks

HarrietKettleWasHere · 09/06/2018 11:20

One of those high st vouchers might be better, can't remember what they're called, but you can spend them topshop, miss sejfridge and a bunch of other teen friendly places.

theymademejoin · 09/06/2018 11:20

If your budget is £15, you're not going to be able to get 15 half decent presents so I'd go with money.

A voucher for primark would be better than amazon, I think. All the 15 year old girls I know love it and she could get loads there for that amount.

BiscuitsRule · 09/06/2018 11:20

Voucher. She’s too old to appreciate 15 naff £1 gifts.

bluetrampolines · 09/06/2018 11:21

Oh really? I thought youd have said the gifts. Guess that is easier. Thanks.

voucher!

purplewurple · 09/06/2018 11:22

Primark voucher or boots and she can't pick herself up
Some bits and pieces

KarinVogel · 09/06/2018 11:25

There is nothing you could give a 15 year old that matches cold hard cash But a close second is an Amazon voucher.
Definitely not 15 little things .

I once saw a huge beautifully decorated box being given to a relative for her 50th birthday . Unfortunately instead of the expected fantastic single present it contained 50 'funny' presents like huge knickers and sets of rollers . Yes they made the party guests titter slightly but they mostly went straight to the charity shop . What a waste and the birthday girl was slightly resentful of the waste.

Stick to cash/vouchers unless specifically asked for 'stuff'.

Whereismumhiding2 · 09/06/2018 11:26

All the 15 y.o.s I know would prefer £15 cash!

Brieonabagel · 09/06/2018 11:28

The little gifts thing is a lovely idea but would cost you more than £15 if it was going to be appreciated. So if £15 is your budget then go with the voucher. If you can stretch to it then create a hamper with a basket/tissue paper and individually wrap each little thing and she will love it (provided the little things are good) you could get things like mirror compact, makeup items, makeup bag, chocs etc (obviously if that’s the sort of thing she’s ‘into’)

bluetrampolines · 09/06/2018 11:28

Oh actually i got that for my 30th from someone. A basket of crap. I remember it was awful. My mum does good bits of stuff but she buys me what she knows i use. Okay. A voucher it is.

Voucher!

I'd go for Superdrug over Boots as they stock that make-up revolution stuff that's currently very popular with the young'uns.

IlikemyTeahot · 09/06/2018 11:35

I would choose 15 little gifts If I knew the child would appreciate them.
I'm not sure but Is £15 your budget? If so your best bet would be the voucher, it depends on the child but if that's your budget the only option you'd have would be the poundshops while it's possible to find some ok bits if you go to a few different ones some of her friends might have the same idea.

If you can be more flexible with budget some ideas are; Lush bathbombs, manicure/nail kit, nail varnishes, face masks, posh face cream, spa style turban, sleep masks, fluffy slippers, scented candles/led candles, journal/scrapbook/photo album with little embellishments to personalise, a novelty item of something meaningful to you both, pick and mix sweets ??
(ok actually most of above can be got from poundshops to be fair)

HarrietKettleWasHere · 09/06/2018 11:44

The above isn't going to be hot for £15 is it? I assume the OP said £15 because that's her budget Confused

HarrietKettleWasHere · 09/06/2018 11:44

*got not hot!

bluetrampolines · 09/06/2018 11:46

Yeah £15 is the budget. Is that not enough? I thought that was decent?

£15 is nice. Depends who the teen is to you, really.

HarrietKettleWasHere · 09/06/2018 11:50

£15 is fine. Any 15 year old I know is thrilled to receive money (even in voucher form!)

Freaklikemeee · 09/06/2018 11:56

Voucher. New Look or TK Maxx?

Glumglowworm · 09/06/2018 11:57

Definitely the voucher

15 gifts for £15 are always going to be mostly tat or sweets. An amazon voucher which she can spend on something she wants or combine with other money/vouchers towards a bigger purchase will be much better.

FASH84 · 09/06/2018 11:59

£15 is fine for a voucher but it would only buy you 15 pieces of tat that she won't want and will go in the bin eventually.

ilovetvandchocolates · 09/06/2018 12:57

15 pound coins taped to the inside of the card in the shape of 15!

KC225 · 09/06/2018 12:59

If you know her well, 10 voucher and a book or DVD. If you don't know her well to know her taste, then a voucher. But as others have said -15 things smacks of the naff hampers everyone was insisting making last Christmas.

My friend and I were talking about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively and they said they had never seen Gossip Girl. My Friend's 15 year old got a 1O quid H&M voucher and season 1 of Gossip Girl. Apparently she loved it.
