And if i give 15 little gifts can you give me clues as to what is most likely to be genuinely appreciated please.

I thought a voucher for amazon if that is the better of the 2 ideas.

Why not a present costing £15? Surely the choice isn't just a voucher or loads of junk.

bluetrampolines · 09/06/2018 13:22

Id love to get her a £15 gift. But what? I have no idea.

Just stick with the money if you've no idea.

4dogs · 09/06/2018 13:27

I think go with voucher so she can choose.

halcyondays · 09/06/2018 13:27

For that age def the voucher. Probably just easier to give cash.

Bagadverts · 09/06/2018 13:34

Voucher. If you have a local shopping centre voucher gives lots of choice, otherwise Superdrug. If you know she uses internet Amazon.

Brieonabagel · 09/06/2018 13:34

@bluetrampolines
Oh actually i got that for my 30th from someone. A basket of crap. I remember it was awful. My mum does good bits of stuff but she buys me what she knows i use. Okay. A voucher it is.

Yes, you’ve really got to know what a person is into to get a present like that right. And at £1 per item it’s probably not possible.
I’m sure she’ll really appreciate the voucher Smile

booellesmum · 09/06/2018 13:40

I would say cash.
I currently have a stack of gift cards that the kids have had for birthdays/Xmas and I've bought off them as they wanted things from other shops.
Gift cards are only great if you definitely know they go to that shop. The only ones they ever keep are the ones for Whsmith and Waterstones.

welcomething · 09/06/2018 13:43

Cash. Don't t buy a voucher, if you want her to choose her gift, let her choose her shop Grin

Marioki · 09/06/2018 14:27

What about a voucher to go the cinema. I got one of those for a friend's son last year (aged 14) and he appreciated it.

ThistleAmore · 09/06/2018 14:42

Voucher or cash - perhaps 15 £1 coins arranged in a little photo frame or similar, if you would like to be a little more personal than just a voucher?

I also can't abide tat (and have had that opinion from a young age), so I must admit I wouldn't thank you for XX bits of stuff, when I could have spent £15 more constructively instead.

welcomething · 09/06/2018 14:44

Even a cinema voucher can pose problems, you have to have friends with funds to go with so you can use it, and £15 is t enough to cover a plus one with snacks

ThistleAmore · 09/06/2018 14:44

Also, Primark or TK Maxx really only sell yet more tat - if she's a reader, or a gamer, of a sportsperson, that's not really going to be of much use.

Violetroselily · 09/06/2018 14:45

Unless you can get 15 useful/wanted items from Poundland (which personally I think is doable, with alot thought), get the amazon voucher

olivesnutsandcheese · 09/06/2018 14:46

Your local shopping centre might do gift vouchers- then it could be used in all shops

Onlyoldontheoutside · 09/06/2018 14:56

My DD say Amazon voucher but preferably cash. She likes to get value for money and shop around.

angieloumc · 09/06/2018 15:38

My DD is 13 and she always loves a voucher from New Look, it's not super cheap like primark but nor is it more expensive like Top Shop.

lolalotta · 09/06/2018 15:40

A voucher, def!

MyOtherUsernameisaPun · 09/06/2018 15:40

Voucher. If your budget is £15 then 15 gifts are going to be cheap tat and she won't want them

Murane · 09/06/2018 15:45

I've never understood why people give vouchers. Surely cash is a universal voucher and you're not restricted to where you can spend it!

Jimdandy · 09/06/2018 15:57

Definitely voucher or cash. Not 15 pieces of tat

ScattyCharly · 09/06/2018 20:58

£15 cash

Iceweasel · 09/06/2018 21:04

Cash or £10 and a book if you know what she likes.

JoeMaplin · 09/06/2018 21:28

Superdrug or ASOS voucher definitely.

Ohsuchaperfectday · 09/06/2018 21:47

Who is she? Why 15?I gave 10 £ for each year of dd life for 10th bday because usually always short of ££ I wanted her to splurge once and have lovely memory!!
I don't think 15 is great budget these days however if that's all you can afford.. And she isn't close in a card give cash.. Cash is king! And I think she will love it, not voucher
