Fishfingers cooked in butter 🤢

I’m generally open about food but one thing I can’t stand that DP loves is fishfingers cooked in butter. I’ve never heard of anyone doing this. I agree each to their own and was just wondering if anyone else has this?

Next time I have a ff sandwich I'll give it a try!

If you butter the bread, that soaks in so what's the difference?

My DH loves fish finger sandwiches grim. I heave everytime he eats them. Just the look is terrifying.

Also a favrioute of his is a MASH sandwich?!?! Now that is absloutley gross.

I've had them done like this in Germany and they made my son vomit! Just sayin!

when putting them warm in the buttered bread the same thing is happening anyway so I cant see it being hugely disgusting.

Fish fingers are delicious and pretty health in the overall pantheon of junk food.
But please thank dp for the butter suggestion. A nice gentle saute in butter sounds wonderful - much better than grilled and probably better than oven baked - both of which tend to make them too crispy for my liking.
But in answer to your question- I'd not heard of it before.

If im feeling pooosh its with tartare sauce shredded lettuce and cucumbers..

Sounds absolutely delish. The best way to do fish fingers is deep fat fried but this butter method sounds fab. I really wish I had some fish fingers in my freezer at the moment. I really really want some now.
