AIBU to want to do my own make up on wedding day?

Not a budget led decision , more like a last minute dot com issue. just not into having make up done by other people, probably because of past experiences. Decided that I don’t want a make up artist and have little over 70 days until D day.
AIBU? Should I completely reconsider this and think again ? Will I completely regret if I do it myself?
Opinions please ... thanks.

I did my own. I went to a make-up counter in a dept store and got some tips and bought some products. Played and practised. I didn't trust anyone else and didn't want to look over done or feel uncomfortable.

Estee Lauder is amazing. The products are amazing and the staff at the counters are really helpful. As in they listen to your style and know the products! I went to a Mac counter in an airport once and spent the next 20 hours looking like a flying hooker lol:)

I wear a very light layer of the Estee Lauder double wear foundation, it's the best I have ever used and I have tried almost everything! I get comments on my makeup looking professional all the time, when really it takes me about two minutes to throw on for a regular day or evening. I much prefer to do my own makeup and always do no matter how fancy or how many photographers. Good skin care and good products and you can look like you, as you see you.

I really recommend moisturising like a woman possessed for the next couple of months... I use Estee Lauder sets and it's really effective, Clinique is also really good, the 1-2-3 set especially. Cleanse, tone, exfoliate, moisturise repeatedly, day and night! I started doing this a few years ago, I wear so much less makeup than I used to because my natural look is in good shape and I get a much better result.

To borrow the words of a previous poster, "That's all me bitches"!

I spent around £80 I think - was very careful thinking about what I actually needed from the products suggested, and what I could get cheaper (eg mascara easy to get cheaper but foundation needed to be posh brand). Went away and had a coffee to think about it after the make up assistant in shop did my make up so I didn't feel pressured to buy all of it!

I did my own too. It's totally your decision.
I bet you will look stunning.
I got my eye lashes done beforehand though and my nails natch 👌

I did my own makeup too.

Did my own, don't think I even bought any new cosmetics! No tanning either.

Did get hair done. Wouldn't have been time for make up too. Too much fuss and running around for me.

I'm sure I looked lovely!
