I was a teenager in So Cal and watching the campaign news when RFK was assassinated mimi. It was the first time I had ever been interested in politics and I was just devastated. To this day the assassination and the song American Pie are linked in my mind. I remember just hearing over and over in my mind the lines "the day the music died" and "singin' this will be the day that I die".

America would be a very different place if RFK had lived, I'm sure of it.
