Do you think working full time from your child being approximately one year old affects your relationship with your child?

I am NOT asking this to be controversial, I am genuinely seeking advice as I've been offered a fantastic opportunity however I'm concerned increasing from part time will change things for us. I KNOW how ridiculous it sounds but I'm terrified my child will be upset and seek comfort from his childminder instead of me...

Has anyone out there gone from being part time to full time and can share their experiences?

@bigbluehouse
Oh it's lovely they're trying to talk you into staying, that's nice to hear but I agree it makes the decision harder for you.

Perhaps they'll offer you a payrise!!

I went back to work when my DD was 4mths old, she’s nearly 1.5 now and is still my shadow. I’ve been home for the last 4mths after having #2 and almost feel like she’s sick of me lol, she loves her one day at care at the moment and I know she will enjoy going back when I return to work in a few weeks, similarly I’m not concerned with how my DS will transfer into cars along side her.
