To buy nephew a present to piss off SIL

BIL and SIL have done something to royally piss us off today, have spent the whole day fuming. Basically they are selfish £@&@'s.
Anyway it's our nephews birthday next week and we love him and want to get him a nice present (he's 5), what's the most annoying thing we can buy him that he will love and they will hate?! Grin

A drum kit, or a little electric guitar.

CoughLaughFart · 04/06/2018 00:40

My great aunt bought my mother a drum when she was little. In revenge, my grandma bought her nephew a trumpet.

LilMadAgain · 04/06/2018 00:41

A bumper set of Sharpies and a kilo of rainbow glitter. Enjoy.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 04/06/2018 00:41

Definitely a drum kit

itsBritneyBeach · 04/06/2018 00:55

Make sure to put lots of glitter and confetti inside the card and wrapping paper Grin

3boys3dogshelp · 04/06/2018 01:02

Kinetic sand

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 04/06/2018 01:03

Super soakers! Or silly string

Heighwayqueen · 04/06/2018 01:08

Glitter! It gets everywhere, they'll be vacuuming it up for months. And a loud toy of some sort with a battery or two.

Sockunicorn · 04/06/2018 01:11

Anything from toot toot!! Those little cars go off for fucking hours Angry.

Or anything that sings the peppa pig theme tune. Someone bought my DD a car that sang as she wheeled it round Angry.

Blondie1984 · 04/06/2018 01:12

A recorder

MinorRSole · 04/06/2018 01:17

A Star Wars lightsaber - one of the connecting ones with a wheel type thing that spins round. I can't remember the name but they are lethal!

TrippingTheVelvet · 04/06/2018 01:22

I once bought my niece a large floor piano. It took up the majority of their sitting room floor so you couldn't avoid it if you went into the room, meaning it blared constantly Grin.

NicEv · 04/06/2018 01:23

Definitely loose glitter - it gets everywhere but kids love it.

Or a sand pit with sand - for the garden but always gets walked through the house!

Or a hamster....

mrsrupertpenryjones · 04/06/2018 01:27

Play-dough icecream factory. It's evil

Newmanwannabe · 04/06/2018 01:30

Make your own slime kit

ChikiTIKI · 04/06/2018 01:33

Ant farm!

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 04/06/2018 01:35

A nerf gun

Any messy play

Anything electronic that has a repetitive tune or catchphrase

MontyPants · 04/06/2018 01:38

Drum kit is too obvious.
How about a pot of ink? (With pens, to “teach him to write”) and encourage him to open the pot in any carpeted room...

Cheeseandcrisps · 04/06/2018 01:46

I think the joke would be on you if you were my relative and you did that to spite me I would just donate to charity and then laugh at you for wasting your money. You should buy your nephew a gift because you think he will love it not to spite his parents.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 04/06/2018 01:54

Moonsand. With glitter in it.
Accidentally buy whiteboard drywipe pens instead of normal colouring pens - they're right bastards to get out of clothing (Impossible, really)
Anything made up of 100s of tiny bits - Lego with lots of fiddly bits is a good one.
And something battery operated that is very touch sensitive.

I think the drumkit and large noisy toys are a bit too obvious and might end up being regifted, yes.

Battleax · 04/06/2018 02:00

If you love him, buy him something he’ll like.

Don’t make a five year old a pawn in childish adult spite.

HistoriaTrixie · 04/06/2018 02:02

Stickers. One of those great big 1000+ sticker packs.

honeyrider · 04/06/2018 02:09

Modelling kits that come with a bag of plaster of paris, it goes everywhere.

AlliKaneErikson · 04/06/2018 02:10

Oh yes, definitely kinetic sand. And a kazoo. Or a ukulele.

AlliKaneErikson · 04/06/2018 02:11

Ooh- and glittery slime!
