Mine just popped into my head.
it’s a profound reflection on the relationship between our words and perception when interpretations are made by an outside agency
Those puzzle books used to have clues you can solve with a mirror.

Was fortunate enough to see the most beautiful sunset over Easter Island, sitting on the beach with the Moai statues 🗿 silhouetted against the sky and it was awesome - hence the name.

Later that night we spent hours lying on sun loungers, staring at thousands of stars in the blackest sky I have ever seen due to no light pollution. Puts our tiny planet into perspective seeing the vastness of it all.

AviatorShades · 31/05/2018 23:25

My wrap around shades,of courseGrin

tobee · 31/05/2018 23:27

Mine is inspired by people mispronouncing my surname; which they often do, despite it not being unusual. And the little ghost creature in the old Topic adverts - a hazelnut in every bite.

Cineraria · 31/05/2018 23:27

Nothing. Well, it's the plant of course. But I wanted something completely unconnected to me, so I just did a kind of swirl on my phone's Swype keyboard, typing into the Google search box and cineraria was what came out.

GuiltyPleasure · 31/05/2018 23:29

Can't remember what particularly inspired my choice of name, but I have many & enjoy them 😊

Dhalandchips · 31/05/2018 23:32

I like lentils. And chips.

HoobleDooble · 31/05/2018 23:33

When I first joined MN I was pinned to the sofa by a small child who was obsessed with the Hoobs.

VanGoghsDog · 31/05/2018 23:34

It's a James song, though oddly not one that I know.

Eolian · 31/05/2018 23:34

Mine is the name of an inn in my favourite book 'The Name of the Wind' by Patrick Rothfuss.

FrangipaniBlue · 31/05/2018 23:35

@piebarm i think you'll find that's a pie in a tea cake Wink

(But I agree, what's not to love!)

YouBoggleMyMind · 31/05/2018 23:36

A random saying I like to use when something makes no sense or blows my mind.

squishymuffin · 31/05/2018 23:38

I have a squishy muffin top

Heartofglass12345 · 31/05/2018 23:38

PickAChew · 31/05/2018 23:43

It a conflation of offering confectionery and a yellow, electrically charged critter.

DustyMaiden · 31/05/2018 23:49

When I was younger, my DFIL called me the dusky maiden. As I am olive skinned. Now I’m old I’m just a dusty maiden.

Redboxonwheels · 31/05/2018 23:50

First thing I saw out of the window.

CardsforKittens · 01/06/2018 00:08

My partner persuaded me to binge-watch Buffy. Spike was gambling just at the point where I needed a username.

Jamiefraserskilt · 01/06/2018 00:09

I would rather like to be....

ViserionTheDragon · 01/06/2018 00:10

insomuchpain · 01/06/2018 00:11

I'd just had my iud fitted and was in pain..couldn't think of anything else haha

piebarm · 01/06/2018 00:14

@FrangipaniBlue can't possibly be a tea cake as there is quite clearly no fruit in it

plus pie teacake doesn't have a nice ring to it and can't be followed by a satisfying mmmmmmmmm sound

duskymauve · 01/06/2018 00:17

It was the name of a Barry M nail polish that I had to hand about six years ago when I set up my account... Which I didn’t actually post on until tonight Confused
