To think 21 bananas a week is crazy?!

I just counted. We went through 21 bananas in 7 days. I know it's only 1 each a day (3 of us) but looking at it for the week, it just seems crazy. That's £25 a month on bananas alone!

Husband thinks I'm nuts.

I think we need to eat more tangerines Blush

Buy the loose “own brand” bananas from Asda. Much cheaper.
Could be worse, at least it’s not bags of crisps or sweets!!

My DP gets through 18 a week. 3 in a shake 6 days a week Confused

I hate them, I hate the smell, I hate how they look.

He spends about £1.80 ish on them in Sainsbury's

My shock is how much I spend on cheese.

Its is ridiculous really.

We by which I mean the teens go through at least a kilogram a week. And here cheese is more expensive than meat.

That isn't crazy at all.

Bananas are about the cheapest fruit you can get. Like 20p per banana.

1 banana per person per day is economical fruit eating.

I'm jealous. I almost never get to eat the bananas I buy as they are usually polished off before they're ripe enough for my liking. I might start a secret banana stash....

Haha that does seem a lot!! Although 21 bananas is better 21 chocolate bars or packets crisps!

I was more thinking when I start doing a weekly shop instead of twice weekly where the flip do I store the things?! We go through the same amount of apples and pears, two punnets of strawberries or grapes and a huge bag of clementines/tangerines. I need a bucket rather than a bowl.
