I totally disagree. It’s nothing to do with her ethnicity. She looks false and fake. For me, giving yourself extreme implants lies in similar territory to the extreme facial changes made by Jocelyn Widerstein (cat woman). Both women would have been far more beautiful au natural.

Is it racist to discuss how black womens bodies are hypersexualised by both black and white men? How the fetishisation of the extreme curves and thick bottom half leads some women (black and otherwise) to inject themselves with saline or have their fat sucked out and redistributed over their bodies?
There is a huge racist streak to the discussion of black womens bodies but there is also a huge conversation to be had about racism, colourism and misogyny and how they interplay to create toxic conditions for black women

To be fair, the thread was started to celebrate the body in the video, not denigrate it.

I'm mortified to have posted stuff that has been interpreted as racist. That was not my intention at all. I didn't even consider the skin colour of the person, I just looked at the body shape and happened to disagree with the OP.

I've found metoos posts really interesting and informative and, if my original comments cause offence, I'm truly sorry. It wasn't intentional but I accept that it is totally possible to be racist without meaning to. Lesson learned.

Coming from a black woman with a curvy figure, I don't find Nicki's body attractive. Having a tiny waist and a big bum is a big trend atm with lots of people having a procedure called a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) done where they liposuction your waist and other areas of your body and redistribute the fat to the buttocks and hips. Often the tummy and waist looks far to flat and small IMO.

Also, a lot of women (Kim Kardashian, Nicki, Cardi B I'm looking at you), look far too disproportionate in my opinion because a naturally big bum normally comes with the thighs to match and these women don't get that with a BBL and end up having a diaper ass.

I'm an advocate of a curvy figure worked for in the gym or that is natural.

Nicki Minaj's body is no no more natural than Katie Price's, it is just pumped up in different places. Both are a grotesque caricature of a female body. I prefer bodies that are not surgically altered, regardless of the colour of the skin.

There is nothing racist about not finding extremely artificially altered body shapes attractive. Actually having ribs removed to achieve a particular shape (if that is honestly what she's done ) is completely abhorrent. What a sad indictment of the looks-obsessed society we live in.

I agree with previous posters. It's a sad situation if the hour glass shape is so fetishised by society that women resort to paying to have fat sucked out of their bodies and great volumes of foreign substances shoved into their bottoms. It's not a look I'd want my daughters to aspire to.
