Half the threads about the wedding are ones bitching about it.

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT IT! And I don’t know why. I’m absolutely not a royalist. I’m feeling very confused at myself but I just can’t wait. I just love a wedding tbh. I am also not getting out very much these days due to young dcs.

I don’t give a shit either but I’m going to put it on the telly in the morning because I think my mam might enjoy watching it, seeing people dressed up etc.

I’m also excited! I have no interest in The Royals but I just love that my little girl has been hearing all about it at school and feels part of it. I like when everyone comes together and gets excited!! But it could very easily be avoided..

I was so looking forward to watching some of it with dd tomorrow, as she’s had wedding week at pre-school. She’s not remotely bothered and says she doesn’t want to watch it. Wants to go swimming with dh instead. Pfft. I’ll watch it with my baby instead! Ha! Might even buy a piece of cake to have. Any excuse for a party... a sad, sad party for one, plus a teeny baby .

Yanbu op, though I do find the weird and random things you learn about royalty from mn interesting, as much as Im not particularly interested in the actual wedding. But then I was considering starting a thread on it in the royal family section, as it seems to be the only place where there aren't six million threads on the subject.

Lots people do not give a shit and get the oppurtunity to tell the world they do not give a shit. Some people are way over invested and have been camping in Windsor for days. A significant proportion of the population have no real opinion but are quite entertained by the tabloid shitstorm. Something for every one really.

I reckon the excitement at school is way more interesting than the real thing!!
I’m really not ‘one of those people’ but can’t understand why people could get annoyed by it all! It’s just really nice! People are happy, getting married, this makes lots more people excited and happy.. what’s not to like???

I'm not bothered by the wedding, I hope they have a great day and that it lasts.

But, I have noticed today since their pics are everywhere that they have the same face, their eyes and noses are set very similarly.

I also noticed the same thing with a fb friend, her dp looks like her twin brother and their dog is strikingly similar as well.

I know @wild! I recently found myself saying, “they just look like they really love each other”, and thought - shit! I’m becoming one of those fuckwits who thinks the royals are their mates or something .

I started off not really giving a toss but as the week has gone on....well, the bunting is up, the scones, jam and cream are in, the gin has been stockpiled, we have a ton of strawberries for the Eton Mess and several flags to wave....guess we're a bit more into it now!!! You don't give a shit about the wedding, yet you obviously give enough shits to start a thread about it. Don't watch it, ignore it, leave the country if you feel that strongly, but you do realize that nobody actually cares?
The fact that you don't give a shit about the wedding will not detract from anyone's enjoyment of it.
