Never in any trouble, not a single detention ever - not even when I retaliated against a bully by punching her on the nose (but this was waaaay back in the sixties when hitting your bully was not considered a punishable offence)

I broke my teachers collar bone. Accidentally of course.. I had a teenage paddy because I thought hockey was dogshit, and I swung my stick behind me, cracking her in the chest in the process.

Got given a weeks after school detention and banned from PE for the year. That second part was a blessing.

The worst, worst part of that, is when. I started teaching, said teacher was the assistant head at the high school I did my training at. She still held a grudge.

Did a lot of shit that I never got caught for. (Pulling fire alarms, bunking etc etc) and a lot I did get caught for. Had the right gift of the gab.

Did get an exclusion for headbutting a right cunt though. He had made my life pretty miserable for 5 years and I enjoyed every millisecond of that moment. Did find it difficult to talk my way out of that one with someone else's blood splattered on my white polo.

In retrospect I was quite lucky not to be done for assault.

A group of us sneaked in and put sheets of the old fashioned shiny loo paper between the hammer keys and strings of the grand piano.
It was the day of final assembly when you say goodbye.
We thought the clunky sound would be funny.
It, not we, were discovered and poor the head music teacher, apparently, cried.
She had to play on the upright.
So while filing out (normally to her signature 'I'm not such a dragon and I can be lighthearted' tune...... English Country Garden) we filed out in silence.
'Twas a sad day. someone also may have included mashed potato in the mix

Not proud. But it was a very long time ago.

I fucking hated that school Grin

flakedalmonds · 17/05/2018 19:24

Namechanged for this

I was a bit of a fucking nightmare in school and eventually they got hacked off enough with me to kick me out ask me not to come back for 6th form.

I would frequently refuse to do to work, turn up to lessons without equipment, refuse to do p.e. undiagnosed dyspraxia. Nuff said. Wrote on the side of the school coach in 3 foot high letters 'also comes in white, sneak out of the boarding house at night to meet my friends, hide alcohol in cans of coke...

Being involved in weedkillering the cricket pitch the weekend before commemoration was probably the last straw and what in all honesty got me kicked out. I didn't actually do the weedkillering but I may have been the one to provide several boxes of the stuff that kills everything.
I believe the art department had to paint the cricket pitch green again

Just one detention, for always giggling too much! Grin

ProzacAndWine · 17/05/2018 19:31

An angry talk from the head master for giving him the finger when I was eleven. Other talks and some minor detention for having a bad attitude.

Several notes sent to my parents for missing lots of lessons and turning up late and leaving early as and when I pleased when I was around 14-16. My parents rolled their eyes at these and pretty much just told the teachers, well what do you want US to do about it?!

I have a lot more sympathy for those poor teachers now!

LemonysSnicket · 17/05/2018 20:11

I was given a negative comment note for having my phone out in class....
