Late period then blood clot? TMI picture warning

Sorry this post contains a tmi picture!
Period was 2weeks late, neg pregnancy tests. Period arrived a few days ago and now I have had a bit of a blood clot. I don't usual get these during my period. Not sure if I should be worried? Has anyone else had similar?

I wasn't googling the thread just mumsnet on my phone to go on to it and there it was after googling mumsnet.

I thought that too but there are other links to different things on mumsnet I haven't clicked on. It doesn't matter. Just to make sure others are aware that mumsnet is NOT private.

tiddle No I really don't get why someone who would be upset by pictures of possible miscarriages would click on a clearly worded title when the content is obvious... and then be shocked and upset by it. I think it's great there is a place where women can share like this.

I am having this same problem. My period was 30 days late and had spotting for a few days and then for the past 4 days the bleeding is so heavy that it's soaking my trousers within a couple of hours. Also I am getting big blood clots.

I had similar after my vaccine, the next period was fine

I think you need to seek advice, that's a very heavy bleed.

It’s actually reassuring to find I’m not the only one with clots each month. I have literally never discussed this with anyone.

That's two people who have been reassured by this thread then and there will be others who have not posted. That's why it is so important that we can freely discuss these things - I know how scary it is when something 'bodily' happens that you've never experienced or heard about before.

Those clots don’t really look that big to me. On days 2-3 I’d have those every time I go to the loo, and lots of bigger ones.

Once I had one the size and shape of a mouse!
