To have concluded that there is no flattering swimwear on market for post baby body?

Or at least not for my post baby body.

I’m a tallish size 12/14, with pretty typical post-baby wobbly belly, and size 34FF boobs.

Currently looking for holiday swimwear and I can’t find anything at all flattering. Bikinis fit but I don’t feel great in them with wobbly stomach hanging out. I would prefer coverage of swimsuit but I only seem to be able to find two options

(1) control swimsuits which hold you in nicely but have no support at all up top (which after 2 babies I could really do with)

(2) swimsuits with proper cup sizes and therefore appropriate support but not tailored to dress size in any way so are either too baggy / too small / too short in body etc

Surely I can’t be the only one in this situation? Posting in the hope I am being unreasonable and someone has some suggestions of where I can look for something suitable!

(I could obviously just go with bikini and get over the fact I don’t think it looks great and just be grateful it fits - that will be my plan B I think!)

Hi I’ve found the best swimsuits to be in Asda! I’ve got not very big boobs but a big tummy/hips and I find them great. Lined in the boob area too

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/05/2018 15:08

Speedo sculpture are fab

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/05/2018 15:09

And Boden do big sizes - I go
for halternecks - then you can undo the straps whilst sunbathing

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/05/2018 15:10

Check out the speedo sun crystal - various colours - very flattering

celtiethree · 12/05/2018 15:11

Have you looked at seafolly? Their one pieces with ruched fronts are vvv flattering. The one piece with boy leg is great.

NeffSaid · 12/05/2018 15:11

www.forluna.co.uk/

These are so flattering!

OneStepSideways · 12/05/2018 15:13

Try sporty brands or surf style tanktinis. Neoprene holds you in better.

Or get a supportive bikini and wear a tanktini top over it?

ShovingLeopard · 12/05/2018 15:13

Next do a good one with a control ruched stomach and proper cups and wide-ish straps. Not too spenny either.

Ginkypig · 12/05/2018 15:17

Iv found that either a tankini top and bottom with lightweight running shorts or instead of bottoms a swimming skirt work quite well.

The top can be bought to fit your bust and the bottoms hide the belly

LolaLouise · 12/05/2018 15:19

Blousson tankanis are the best invention - lascana on swimwear 365 do one, its so comfy, hides wobbly bits, looks nice, and available in loads of colours. I have about 6 for holidays

tealandteal · 12/05/2018 15:20

I buy from figleaves so I can get a bra sized tankini and separate bottoms to get the best fit. Although I have actually just bought a good tankini from swimwear 365 which was the only place I could find a nice, not too sporty, not too low cut non wired tankini that would fit my still breastfeeding boobs!

wafflethewonderdog · 12/05/2018 15:22

Asda do lovely skirted swimsuits. Currently on holiday and I've got a couple including this.

Notsoaccidentproneanymore · 12/05/2018 15:23

try this

Dozer · 12/05/2018 15:24

Lots of retailers do “control” tummy with wired cups.

goodbyeeee · 12/05/2018 15:24

Bravissimo do nice tankinis with proper inbuilt bras.

Magicmonster · 12/05/2018 15:25

Wow so many responses so quickly! Thanks so much everyone. Will get researching all those options...

Following with interest as I’m in exactly the same position, I’ve always bought from Bravissimo for the cup size but want something super flattering & haven’t found it yet.

Oliversmumsarmy · 12/05/2018 15:27

Maybe someone will know what I am talking about but wasn't there a "swim suit" that was designed to look great on all body shapes.

It was black and had lots of strips of material going horizontally up the torso.

They put it on all shapes and sizes and it did look ok.

It was few years ago

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 12/05/2018 15:33

Another fan of George swimwear here. The quality is very good, although I usually order in a couple of sizes online as I find I need a larger size than I think for the top, and conversely a smaller size for the bottoms, than with other brands.

I would opt for a bikini for comfort and wear a light cover up to walk about in if you feel self conscious.

Hunter007 · 12/05/2018 15:51

I love the For Luna ones. The halter neck is great for hooshing the girls up and holding then in place. The most flattering suit I've found and it makes me look reasonably okay despite my extra poundage in the stomach area

MrsL2016 · 12/05/2018 17:11

Would high waisted bikini bottoms be a good option for the mum tum? And then you can also get a bikini top that has the support you want. I am 2 months post partum and think that's what I will be going for.

Shadow666 · 12/05/2018 17:20

Thanks for posting this.

My baby is four but I’m still having the same problem.

I’ll also be checking out these suggestions.

Minesril · 12/05/2018 17:48

Pour moi? They have a massive range. My bikini comes up to my belly button so covers the wobbly bits but I still get to show off my abs which aren't too bad!

CaptainBrickbeard · 12/05/2018 17:52

Curvy Kate high waist bikini - or Figleaves do some nice ones too. The high waist holds in the tummy and the tops are bra sized up to H cups or higher. Also, I love Ewa Michalak but they are more expensive and you have to wait for shipping from Poland. Simply Be have some nice Figleaves and Pour Moi high waist sets.

Sallycinnamum · 12/05/2018 18:18

Simply Be do a brilliant 'range of swimwear. I was surprised how lovely they were and have ordered a couple for my holiday next week.
