DH angry I told his vomit story weeks later

DH got so drunk a few weeks ago that he threw up on the sofa and kitchen floor, and didn't clear it up. Also we found a road sign at the back of the garden and he fell asleep on the lawn

I found it the next morning and was pretty pissed off but we laughed it off in the end

I told my brother and my DH overheard this, didn't seem to mind. I then told a few other friends as a funny story, again, DH made no objection

Three weeks later he is suddenly really angry that I told other people and had a massive go at me!!! WTF?! I said he didn't complain at the time and laughed along with us, told a few people himself

I'm going out tonight but have left early as he was being so shouty. Surly he is BU??

Say to him that him being annoyed will be worth it if you never have to clean up his drunk vomit again?

MrsDc7 · 11/05/2018 19:10

How ridiculous. Is he 18?

ConciseandNice · 11/05/2018 19:12

Is your husband an adult?? What ridiculous behaviour! He is being unreasonable. Tell everyone for years to come.

Pooshy · 11/05/2018 19:13

I wouldn't have told anyone had he said not to, especially i after he heard me telling my bro, but apparently it's my fault for being so immature that I didn't realise that I shouldn't tell people

OP posts:
PositiveVibez · 11/05/2018 19:13

There is a difference between being angry with you for telling people and being angry and embarrassed at his own behaviour. I can only guess as to which category he falls under.

ScreamingValenta · 11/05/2018 19:14

Also we found a road sign at the back of the garden

Are you students?

Sirzy · 11/05/2018 19:14

The road sign I could understand telling other people and having a laugh about. The vomiting, drunk or not, I think some things are best not being public knowledge

Quartz2208 · 11/05/2018 19:14

its you who is immature? That is him

Midthreademergencynamechange · 11/05/2018 19:17

Oh right and getting so drunk that you vomit all over the place and bring back road signs is "mature" is it?

Pooshy · 11/05/2018 19:21

Exactly. By the way we are late 30s and have two kids!!

OP posts:
TheDishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 11/05/2018 19:21

He vommited on the sofa and just left it over night? I don't think he can have any form of moral or maturity high ground here. If it was too embarrassing for other people to know he shouldn't have done it in the first place!

ShirleyPhallus · 11/05/2018 19:22

It is really annoying though when you’re out and someone tells the same story again and again and again at your expense. The story isn’t even that good or unusual or funny. Not surprised he’s a bit pissed off hearing it being regurgitated to everyone you know.

greendale17 · 11/05/2018 19:28

The vomiting, drunk or not, I think some things are best not being public knowledge

^I agree

Smeddum · 11/05/2018 19:30

The vomiting, drunk or not, I think some things are best not being public knowledge

I also agree with this. Why did you tell anyone if it wasn’t to laugh at him? It doesn’t seem right to me.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 11/05/2018 19:32

He is ashamed probably
He bloody should be ! I speak with a zeal of a new drink cutter downer though Smile

welshmist · 11/05/2018 19:32

I agree also was not your place to tell the story.

SunshineandRain18 · 11/05/2018 19:41

Actually just pissing myself at the story 😂😂😂

No advice OP just keep laughing.
Stick the road sign up as a keepsake in the garden 😆

DippyDiplodocus · 11/05/2018 19:42

What sort of road sign did he steal?

adaline · 11/05/2018 19:44

If you'd done the same thing, would you be happy for him to tell everyone about it?

I also don't understand why you'd WANT to tell everyone, unless you just wanted to embarrass him? Which isn't very nice, imo. Yes, he messed up and acted the idiot, but if that was me, I wouldn't want the entire world knowing!

Eatmycheese · 11/05/2018 19:47

Well if he doesn’t want you to talk about what a drunken state he was then perhaps not getting so pissed that he threw up everywhere, passed out on a lawn and collected a road sign all in a style akin to teenager or student would see to that.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving and obviously one to reel out time and time again 😊

Eatmycheese · 11/05/2018 19:48

I think some people on here need to lighten up.
She hasn’t told people he’s got erectile dysfunction or an obsession with Piers Morgan

balsamicbarbara · 11/05/2018 19:51

It says a lot about the relationship when the DP is the butt of a joke with others.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 11/05/2018 19:52

It's a funny story, I'd be telling it too. If he can't deal with it, tough shit-let this be a lesson to him to not get so fucking wasted in future then he won't make an arse of himself & give you a tale to tell...

Eatmycheese · 11/05/2018 19:53

^ don’t be so bloody ridiculous

The way some people opine on here is so self righteous and a load of shit.

Eatmycheese · 11/05/2018 19:53

Not you Broom that was for balasamic et al and their relationship virtue signalling
