Having a bit of a stressful day, so I thought I'd focus on the things that are cheering me up!

  1. I'm working from home
  2. I have laundry drying on the line which will smell amazing when it's done
  3. my neighbours' cat is very cutely asleep on my garden bench

Tell me what is lifting your spirits today!

I got an unexpected cheque from the bank for £1662.71 for wrongly applied charges from years ago.

It's my favourite TV night (Silicon valley and Billions).

I've been booking things for a weekend away with DH at the beginning of June.

It's Friday tomorrow, the sun has been shining and I'm having a lovely glass of wine later.

Good day all round!

YellowOrMellow · 10/05/2018 19:53

Pink gin and my gorgeous son and lovely dog x

Tobebythesea · 10/05/2018 19:53

My 2 year old DD gave me a spontaneous hug around my legs. Lovely.

Flev · 10/05/2018 19:56

I've just run a brownie meeting which went really well and was even fairly relaxing!

DontCallMeCharlotte · 10/05/2018 19:57

A surprisingly generous pay rise and a weekend away with the girls tomorrow Smile

StressedtoHellandBack · 10/05/2018 20:13

I have made another move to try to free myself after years of horrible things and abuses. I am beginning to see just how weird my life has been over many years. I hope I pull this bid for freedom off.

Bonosglasses · 10/05/2018 20:19

I hate flying and have been trying to talk myself into booking a beach holiday for years and years and today I finally did it. 10 nights AI in Mexico in October, just me and DH. Scared shitless but also can’t wait! 😊✈️🏖

MrsDylanBlue · 10/05/2018 20:20

After having my baby 9 weeks ago. And not being in the 'lose weight' headset yet. Dp treated me to a whole new wardrobe of clothes in the size I am now. So I don't look at my clothes depressed they don't fit and get myself down ( pnd history so the smallest things make me feel crap). This may seem silly butg I NEVER buy myself anything ever as I can't deal with shopping so this is lovely for me. As he sat with me and helped chose what's nice when I said it would look shit. ( it didn't he was right z shh don't tell him)
My baby always being happy and 'talking' when I talk to her.. It's like she's taken it all in.. All my random chats about everyone and anything.

applecatchers36 · 10/05/2018 20:28

Had a bath with my 2 year old 👵 this eve
My friend and I have booked to go to a fancy spa hotel in Cornwall for a couple of nights- sent my friend the reservation today

corythatwas · 10/05/2018 20:48

My Big Issue seller told me he's got a job, seems he did really well on the training day and they're taking him on straight away. Seemed so happy and excited.

halfwitpicker · 10/05/2018 20:49

The fact that my two day training course has FINISHED Grin

🍉🍇🏖️🌞

zeebeedee · 10/05/2018 20:59

1.One of the kids in my class (special school) swam on her own today, she had such a big grin on her face!

  1. The fact that I was swimming with them - I haven't been able to go due to other commitments for ages, so it was great to see how they are all getting on
  1. Dinner was cooked when I got home
  1. My teenagers having a really in depth conversation about physics and maths, disagreeing without arguing, and explaining their points well to help each other understand - very grown up sounding!

I’m doing C25K and did the Week 5 20 minute run today on the first try.

DS (aged 3) said ‘nocuglasses’ for binoculars.

Somebody who’s kindly mentoring me for a job I’m applying for read a statement I’d had to write pre-interview and said if they didn’t bite my hand off there was something wrong with them. So that was nice.

Lloyd45 · 10/05/2018 22:30

DD had a great parents evening, 1st year at secondary school and she has really struggled at the start but she is doing really well. Lovely walk in the park with the dog in the sunshine. Just realised I work with some lovely people, changed my job 3 years ago and just starting to really get to know people Smile

gillybombilly · 10/05/2018 22:46

I got a round of applause in my yoga class today because I managed all of the poses and positions with ease, and was deemed "top of the class" ☺️

I've just recently came back to class after 8 months off due to operations and recovery time, so I was chuffed that I have managed to achieve this with the help of a lovely teacher and friends within the group in such a short period of time.

Well done to everyone else too - it cheers my heart to hear your lovely posts.

Presentinp0st · 10/05/2018 22:52

Sunny weather and completing some jobs on the to do list

PutTheChocEggDown · 10/05/2018 22:52

Eating well, a good walk, ordering a nut milk bag on Amazon, some MN time. Tomorrow I am taking a half day and will meet a friend for lunch. Planning a big clear out at home which is making me feel quite upbeat!

MinaPaws · 10/05/2018 22:52

@LikeSilver I love 'nocuglasses'. That is so sweet.

LanguidLobster · 10/05/2018 22:53

I'm neutral rather than anything else Grin

We should have a mood-o-meter on here

  1. For once my flat is tidy (apart from my bedroom).
  2. Three days ago DS1 finally went to sleep by himself and stayed asleep in his own bed all night well til 5am for the first time ever. And he’s kept it up. Simultaneously, DS2 has also randomly stopped feeding to sleep and is happy to be cuddled and popped down in his cot. So I have evenings back for the first time in nearly four years. (This may relate to point 1.)
  3. Kitten!

My 5 year old told me he's getting married, to Ella, who sits at his table in school.

When I asked him what made him choose his intended, he replied, "she wears glasses"

"That's a good reason to get married, is it?", I said

"We'll, I don't have glasses Mammy" Grin

Keepittenten · 10/05/2018 23:41

DD1 (5) had parents evening. We were told she is excelling at everything and most importantly has made some friends.

Watching ‘Safe’ on Netflix, have been looking forward to watching it with DH.

Snuggled up with DD(2) watching Bing...we both woke up 2hours later. Lovely mid afternoon nap.
