I just looked up when the last episode of Dallas was broadcast for the first time. According to wiki it was 3rd May 1991 on CBS. That’s 27 years ago and still the letters JR are enough for a thread about a fictitious character!

Well, naturally, I watched them both but imho Dynasty was a pale imitation of Dallas. Knots Landing on the other hand... (Now there was a theme tune!)

Knots Landing was ace! There was a random spooky episode with a couple of little girl ghosts, soooo peculiar but always remembered it.

Not to be outdone Dynasty had The Colbys.

And we had Eldorado.
