Than homemade hummus?

Seriously, i chuck the ingredients in my nutribullet and eat with carrot sticks or straight off the spoon.

It's absolutely delicious plus really healthy.

Care to share other super healthy moreish ideas?

DearTeddyRobinson · 04/05/2018 12:58

DH and I made our own hummus once.
48 hours later, when we had finally stopped farting, we decided it wasn't for us 😄

SidekickSally · 04/05/2018 12:58

could you share what you put in the nutribullet for the hummous? I have a shopping order coming tomorrow and could order the ingredients now.....sounds lovely! Actually have shop made hummous on my list.

Chewbecca · 04/05/2018 12:58

I'm loving the new season's asparagus, roasted in a little olive oil and s&p.

halfwitpicker · 04/05/2018 12:59

Peanut butter and banana
Peanut butter and pear
Pb and crackers
Toasted peanut butter sandwich ie like a grilled cheese but made with peanut butter.

UserV · 04/05/2018 12:59

VOMITIZATION! 🤮🤮🤮

Hummus is rank.

PMSL at the 'look what healthy food I feed to my family' game, and most posters are joining in too. 😂

goes off to pop the frozen pizza and frozen garlic bread into the oven, whilst munching on a cheese string... Wink

SecretIsland · 04/05/2018 13:00

Hate hummus! 🤢

My favourite breakfast ever is smoked salmon and scrambled egg with spinach. I could eat it every day.

ohfortuna · 04/05/2018 13:00

I think with the legumes it is often best to start with a small dose and build up gradually to increase tolerance unless you really like farting all the time
I'm more of a lentil person myself although I do like chickpea flour for making various types of pancakes

ppeatfruit · 04/05/2018 13:00

Chickpeas are not beans, they are related to peanuts so some people are very allergic to them

. I gave a recipe for whit bean and tahini dip. It's not difficult! Ginky.

Like anything, overdoing it, is not good.

IJustLostTheGame · 04/05/2018 13:00

Wholemeal toast with almond nut better.
I even dream about it

BrightonCalling · 04/05/2018 13:00

@SidekickSally
Chickpeas
Spoon of tahini
A clove of garlic
A little lemon juice
Salt

Peas, i love peas, as a snack, pea soup, mushy peas, they are very cheap and basic but i could eat my 5 a day in peas alone

ppeatfruit · 04/05/2018 13:02

Oh yes Purple I love peas too!

FrameyMcFrame · 04/05/2018 13:02

Good humous recipes?? Last time I made it, it went wrong...

ohfortuna · 04/05/2018 13:02

could eat my 5 a day in peas alone
Sadly it only counts as one no matter how much you eat

RidingWindhorses · 04/05/2018 13:03

Hummus made with tinned chickpeas is awful.

JellySlice · 04/05/2018 13:03

Greek yogurt with chopped, roasted hazlenuts, cocoa powder, cocoa nibs, a little agave honey/date honey/sweetener of your choice and a pinch of seasalt flakes. Nutella meets salted caramel. Mmmmmmm

ohfortuna · 04/05/2018 13:04

The point of five day is to get a variety of fruit and veg, mostly veg so getting your five a day out of one food defeats the purpose
for maximum benefit you need 10 a day

gustofwind · 04/05/2018 13:05

Yes MyOtherUsernameisaPun roasted broccoli is heaven!!!

BrightonCalling · 04/05/2018 13:05

@JellySlice
That sounds incredible

OP posts:
Crispbutty · 04/05/2018 13:05

Fish and shellfish. I can eat that all day everyday.

gustofwind · 04/05/2018 13:06

brightoncalling I usually add water if it's too gloopy, do you?

JellySlice · 04/05/2018 13:06

BTW home-made humous is something else entirely. Robust and zingy, nothing like the smooth, mousse-y stuff you buy in the shops. The mega-tubs of homous in Costco are not bad, though.
