...before it's too late?

A rudderless govt, bereft of talent, drifts from one mess to another, with a leader now incapable of delivering her key objective and the will of the people: Brexit.

Her Majesty's Opposition a hopeless rabble controlled by incompetent far-left revanchists.

The high reaches of the culture commanded by an equally obscure clique of metropolitan liberals, in thrall to the excesses of deranged American identity politics and engaged in a war with the Labour party and the wider country.

Brexit being eaten away and attacked by unelected continental foes such as Guy Verhofstadt, and internal fifth columnists such as Tony Blair, against whom the British public have no champions.

Freedom of speech not protected by constitution and being eroded as evidenced by Count Dankula case, etc.

Border control rejecting thot conservatives in favour of Jihadi Beatles.

Rape gangs roaming up and down the country with apparent impunity with no one doing anything to protect our children.

Defence budget now insufficient to control national interests. No coherent independent foreign policy or even an understanding of what that might be commensurate of global standing.

Foreign agents conducting clandestine operations with impunity on shore aided by domiciled piratical oligarchs ensconsed in plusher parts of the capital city.

Land not owned by Duke of Westminster owned by middle east petro-crooks (see also football clubs).

House of Lords now a placeholder for party appartchiks and leftist lunatics acting against the will of the people.

The House of Windsor now a middle class-celebrity circus, incapable of acting for the interests of its subjects.

The great medieval university colleges now social justice laboritories, being eaten away from the inside by identity politics.

The OP has name changed by the look of it but I doubt she's claig

And I reckon the last thing she wants to see in Britain is a centrist party.

I've been raped as a 16 year old. I've been subjected to sexual abuse a number of times. I'm not the one calling for revolution- an activity that increase rape. If you were serious about standing up for victims, you'd be working within a legal framework to enable better conviction rates and sex education.

Notthemessiah · 03/05/2018 14:47

No I didn't say that - always good to have someone put words in your mouth and then argue with them. Sigh.

These 10,000 rapes that you mention. Care to link to your figures? The highest reference I can find is 'up to 1,000' and that was in the Mirror (so hardly a beacon of fact and accuracy in reporting). Not saying those aren't awful of course but it's a lot less than you're claiming.

Your not wildly exaggerating for dramatic effect and to stir up even more fear and anger, are you? Tsk Tsk!

Mightymucks · 03/05/2018 14:49

The Velvet Revolution was peaceful because they wanted to move from a dictatorship to a democracy.

A democracy is going to be a lot harder to overthrow peacefully as you are defying the wishes of your fellow citizens.

Justanothernameonthepage · 03/05/2018 14:49

But much easier to collate a number of news stories, neglecting all the improvements over the decades (feminism, recognition of EA and financial abuse, gay rights etc) and decide that everything is awful and needs to be overhauled.

MereDintofPandiculation · 03/05/2018 14:52

the will of the people: Brexit. If a group of people in an office decided to go out for a meal together, 13 said "curry - won't consider anything else" and 12 said "carvery. Can't abide curry", would you really say "well, the team decided we all wanted to go for a curry"?

Justanothernameonthepage · 03/05/2018 14:52

Democracy isn't perfect (Brexit, Trump, X factor). But better than an unchallenged madman (Putin, Niyavoz)

...Do you want me to list every town until we get to the 10,000 mark?

"Thousands of Grooming Gangs"

www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-shropshire-43385049

Your not wildly exaggerating for dramatic effect and to stir up even more fear and anger, are you?

That's the problem, there wasn't ENOUGH anger when these crimes were/are being perpetrated, people who did get angry were called racist, by people like you.

@MereDintofPandiculation

No. You'd say the majority want curry so that's what we're having. Besides which, Indian food is amazing and carveries are what Jeremy Kyle guests aspire to.

Mightymucks · 03/05/2018 14:58

messiah, in fairness, last thing I heard the Rotherham numbers were thought to be above 2,000 with similar numbers in Rochdale.

Telford, 1,000

Newcastle, 700

Oxford, 400

Bradford had 1,500 referrals for CSE last year.

Plus lots with no prosecution as yet (eg Blackpool where it’s known a grooming gang operated).

So on that point she is right.

A4710Rider · 03/05/2018 14:58

I don't want to overthrow democracy.

I want the people of the UK to get together and work for the future, arm in arm.

You want a UKIP government. Admit it.

Justanothernameonthepage · 03/05/2018 15:02

Don’t put your trust in revolutions. They always come around again. That’s why they’re called revolutions. People die, and nothing changes.'

'People on the side of The People always ended up disappointed, in any case. They found that The People tended not to be grateful or appreciative or forward-thinking or obedient. The People tended to be small-minded and conservative and not very clever and were even distrustful of cleverness. And so the children of the revolution were faced with the age-old problem: it wasn’t that you had the wrong kind of government, which was obvious, but that you had the wrong kind of people'
(NW. Terry Pratchett)

Mightymucks · 03/05/2018 15:04

Achieving a consensus is impossible. And your idea sounds horribly like an autocracy. The closest we get to this is called a General Election. And we already have them.

Communism and Facism have already tried this shit and it didn’t work out well.

A4710Rider · 03/05/2018 15:08

Please don't try and contaminate me with your lack of understanding or intelligence.

Justanothernameonthepage · 03/05/2018 15:09

Do I have to work arm in arm with my next door neighbour? He leaves his bins out all week so obviously shouldn't get a say. Oh and not her across the way - she votes ukip so obviously not going to get too close to her in case I end up listening to her rants about lasagna being foreign muck.

A4710Rider · 03/05/2018 15:10

Achieving a consensus is impossible

It really isn't. Most Red and Blue working class people think the same these days.

Look at the death of the Labour party in Scotland and to some extent Wales as an example of that.

Interesting article on asian groomers

Justanothernameonthepage · 03/05/2018 15:11

And is it provide your own pitchfork? Can we have commemorative ones for the kiddies?

Gilead · 03/05/2018 15:12

the ethnicity of grooming gangs

Justanothernameonthepage · 03/05/2018 15:13

And maybe not this weekend- we've got BBQs to go to. Oh unless you're providing a buffet? Vegan and free - range options please. And I've a holiday booked so can we get a finishing time penciled in.

A4710Rider · 03/05/2018 15:14

Indeed, if you like apologism that is.

It rather sounds as though you want them to work for the future that you want, not necessarily for the future that others may want.

A4710Rider · 03/05/2018 15:16

It's telling that most apologists will use the term "Asian"

I'd be really offended at that If I was Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Singaporean, Vietnamese............

I merely listed a list of what I thought was wrong with the UK, I haven't really spoken about a future, have i?
