I quite like HFW. My dm once called him a twat (in her defence my gma has just died and she was having a tough time!) because he was taking too long chatting to the cashier in co-op. My dbro said he turned round all excited thinking someone had recognised him as my dm was muttering about him. He smiled, expecting to be asked for an autograph or something and my dm scowled and said to my dbro ‘is that twat ever going to leave?’ Apparently he scuttled our fairly sharpish!

I always found him extremely personable on TV. Seemed really genuine, nice to people, interested in things. Seemed an above average chance he'd be as nice in real life.

OP did you ever see his first TV series (or two?) where he went round to people's houses who were hosting dinner parties? Some lovely, funny ones. Then the one where they ate placenta.
