U.S. Civilian Evacuation Drill Is War Card: KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. conducted exercises of evacuating American nationals to its mainland from south Korea from April 16 to 20.
The pretext is to cope with "emergency on the Korean peninsula" and it is said that the drill is the first of its kind.
The U.S. farce unbecoming to the atmosphere for dialogue on the Korean peninsula is met by vigilance of the Korean nation and the regional countries because it seeks a sinister scenario behind it.
In short, the evacuation drill is a dangerous act of going against the détente on the Korean peninsula, an act aimed to make war a fait accompli and incite atmosphere for it.
Thanks to the proactive measure and sincere efforts of the DPRK, the trend of peace and détente has been created on the Korean peninsula. This is the stern reality.
Yet, the U.S. made the fuss which can be seen only on the eve of a war, indication that it seeks other purpose rather than the détente of situation on the Korean peninsula.
It is a well-known fact that whenever the atmosphere for national reconciliation, unity and peace loomed on the Korean peninsula, the U.S. has always stood against it.
This time, too, it showed the civilian evacuation card, at the end of hard efforts to prevent the north-south relations from improving along the positive direction.
The evacuation of civilians is, in fact, a card signaling a war, and this was proven by the historical fact on the eve of the last Korean War.
At that time, the U.S. evacuated its civilians in a hurry and provoked the Korean War of aggression.
The U.S. acts of shunning and denying the reality clearly prove that the U.S. is harasser of peace and destroyer of stability and orders.
The U.S. had better ponder over its military adventure of a war targeting the DPRK.
The U.S. should contemplate what mistakes it has made in the history of the DPRK-U.S. confrontation and who has become winner, not straining its nerves on dreaming of fighting a war, and rectify the hostile policy toward the DPRK that has become dregs of the times.
This is an advice forwarded to the U.S. by the DPRK. -0-
