They go by the surname Cambridge, not Windsor.

It won't be James as there is a cousin James 11th in line to the throne. They don't tend to use 'current' royal names. It could be Albert.

Unlikely to be Alexander - that is one of George's names (although Prince Andrew does have Edward as one of his names so that didn't bother the Queen).

The Queen changed the line of succession rules recently. This mean that Princess Charlotte keeps her present place at 4th - and the new brother is 5th. He does not displace her.

Until the law was changed when Princess Charlotte was due, boys took preference over girls in the line of succession, so if that law hadn't been changed Charlotte would have been bumped down a notch in the line of succession in favour of her newborn brother.

Won’t be Henry, although I’m sure Harry would be delighted! Doubt it’ll be James, Edward or Charles etc. But you never know. Probably very annoying that they seem to be restricted in terms of tradition.

My 6mo DS' name is one of the favourites. I really hope they don't pick it!! Can't be doing with 5 other boys in his class with the same name and everyone thinking I named DS after the Prince when it was clearly the other way around
