To think they shouldn’t flaunt their bifolds....

Neighbours over the back had their lovely bifolds open all day. Had a little BBQ, lounged about in their indoor/ outdoor space. Enjoyed themselves.

It’s not on is it?

OP posts:
Jux · 22/04/2018 22:33

The place will be awash with spiders in no time. Everywhere they look.....

DropItLikeASquat · 22/04/2018 22:35

@Jux pmsl

Shizzlestix · 22/04/2018 22:37

The bastards! We had a beautiful day here, no rain. Kept cool enough for the dog, very nice.

frasier · 22/04/2018 22:40

Am I the only person who dislikes "bringing the outside inside" or vice versa?

I hate eating outside. Hate it.

PigletJohn · 22/04/2018 22:42

some sort of spectacles, aren't they?

YippeeTipTap · 22/04/2018 22:46

Funny thread. 😊

grumpy4squash · 22/04/2018 22:50

grumpy4squash, they're giant shutter style windows that can fold open, leaving a gaping great hole in the back of the house

Wow! Thanks for the clarification. Why would bifolds be a good thing?

madeyemoodysmum · 22/04/2018 22:54

Wasps and flies. That is all 🐝

bettytaghetti · 22/04/2018 23:07

DH has been making a complete exhibition of us and had both sets of bifolds open (shock, horror!). But OP you can take heart at the fact that my downstairs (ooh er missus!) is covered in tree blossom, and now Jux has reminded me about the spiders, who will no doubt be dragging their willies all over the place right about now; ugh!

Mrsmadevans · 22/04/2018 23:09

They are just a trend, like artexed ceilings, grey everything etc etc soon be over the hill OP.

DannyLaRuesBestFrock · 22/04/2018 23:11

What an absolute epitome of 'bifold bastards' 🤑

blackteasplease · 22/04/2018 23:12

I read it as bifocals!

PickAChew · 22/04/2018 23:15

We have bog standard uPVC patio doors with a coverable south facing garden. It was a bit warm out on Thursday, so I kept the doors shut and closed the curtains to stop the house from getting any hotter.

Bet they've got wasps and midges, now.

BrashCandicoot · 22/04/2018 23:17

You’d have no option but to move house after such a thorough spider willying. Just make sure you tell the surveyor that the house hasn’t been significantly rubbed up by the spider willies when they ask, and if should sell quite quickly without losing any value.

viques · 22/04/2018 23:23

It's like all the roofless sports car drivers , you have to feel sorry for the poor souls, all those months of worrying about their mechanisms seizing up , or some tosser taking a sharp knife to their soft tops, practically knocking their head of every time they get in or out of the car Al for the joy of swanning about with their roof down for a couple of days, getting head burn and heat stroke.

Me, I drive with my windows down and the AC on.

viques · 22/04/2018 23:28

grumpy4squash because they is aspirational innit! Every house makeover for the past x years has featured bifold doors in your open plan kitchen family room space, so bringing the outside in and making an easy transition from indoors to outside for a perfect entertaining space all the family can enjoy.(I am quoting here)

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 22/04/2018 23:36

Never mind fancy back doors, they need to invest in some proper fencing. I’d be really annoyed if my neighbours could gawp right into my house.

TooManyPaws · 22/04/2018 23:39

If you want 'inspirational', try this house with its bifolds and everything else.

Goodness knows what the old doctors who owned the house and worked in the surgery that is now the pretentious wanker kitchen would think. 🤣

TooManyPaws · 22/04/2018 23:41

'inspirational' AND 'aspirational' 😂

Titsywoo · 22/04/2018 23:44

I hate bifolds - too much sodding glass to keep clean and they let too much light in (sometimes I need a bit of shade and the sunlight shows the dust and grime).

Graduate223 · 22/04/2018 23:45

I think they’re ugly and awful and will be out of fashion in no time. I don’t even like French doors, got rid of mine.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 22/04/2018 23:59

Good lord Paws. How many different designers do you think they imployee there? Grin

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 22/04/2018 23:59

*imployed

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 23/04/2018 00:00

employed even, bloody autocorrect Hmm

W0rriedMum · 23/04/2018 00:08

Envy them now.. But..

In winter when it's dark at 4pm, they can't even put on "In the Night Garden" for the kids without the WHOLE PLACE knowing about it.

I've never, ever seen decent sized bifolds with privacy..
