Sorting my laundry out just now and hear a toddler outside. Take a look and grandmother (I think) walking toddler. Really cute. But she’s in her pyjamas and her dressing gown. AIBU to think this is odd?!

We are early risers so maybe that’s why I find this a little odd!?

A bit odd yes, but it doesn't affect you so I wouldn't think twice about it tbh

WorraLiberty · 22/04/2018 10:36

PJs here too as it's a much needed lazy Sunday.

I agree with the PP who said people start the most pointless threads.

Thegreatestshowwomen · 22/04/2018 10:39

Are they in their garden?

Juells · 22/04/2018 10:39

For the last few weeks, in PJs and dressing gown, I've been walking the dogs up to the green on the corner for pee/poo. Back garden inhabited by vixen and cubs so I can't let the dogs out there. I couldn't care less about dressing gown up to 11am. When my children were little I'd drive them to school that way.

TeenyBird · 22/04/2018 10:39

That's nothing. I once saw a girl in Tesco in her PJs - at 4pm...lol

haverhill · 22/04/2018 10:40

I just moved my car in my dressing gown so DH could get his out. I don’t think anyone who may have seen me was traumatised.

abigailsnan · 22/04/2018 10:40

allthenames I saw a few in Liverpool One yesterday also quite a few had massive rollers in their hair.

Aragog · 22/04/2018 10:41

It's a Sunday.
It's 10am, so not that late.
She's in her own garden.

I can't see the problem! At all!

I'm in the house, though did have the garden doors open earlier. I've been awake since 7am, and out of bed since about 8:45am. I am sat on the sofa, watching the marathon, on my laptop doing some work planning, in my PJs.

Dh has just gone upstairs for a shower. I will probably go up and shower in the next 10/15 minutes.

Teen DD has showered and dressed - though very much lounge wear - and is revising in hers.

We will all be dressed properly for when my parents come later this afternoon. Til then, lazy day!

Woshambo · 22/04/2018 10:42

I rarely wear clothes in the house I'm always in PJ's or "lounge wear". We have 3 large dogs (who love sitting on mummies knee and snuggling) and not much money to b buying clothes constantly. I often take my dogs out the back garden in PJ's (and mine r the tank top and shorts ones!) I do it morning noon and night. I love it as it cools me down too plus, it's my back garden (fenced) if ppl don't like it they don't have to look lol

Babynonamee · 22/04/2018 10:43

But it's Sunday. I think it's ok.
I only ever run out the bin occasionally in my dressing gown. But often wear it at all times during the day to keep me warm :-)

I think on a Sunday it's more acceptable than a week day. Perhaps not passed 12pm though...

LakieLady · 22/04/2018 10:44

Still in my dressing gown, and won't dress until The Archers is over.

And I've already hung washing out.

Woshambo · 22/04/2018 10:44

@QuestionableMouse lol I got up, took my dogs out the back for a play in my PJ's. Came in had a bath, put fresh PJ's on n came bk to bed

thenightsky · 22/04/2018 10:45

I'm still in pyjamas and I'm about to hang the washing out.

Only after that will I shower and dress.

We need a new MN emoticon for the PJ Police 👮‍♀️

I couldn’t get worked up over this. She’s dressed.

Unclench for heavens sake.

BlondeB83 · 22/04/2018 10:46

In the garden, MYOB!

EventNotInData · 22/04/2018 10:46

In her own back garden => perfectly reasonable
Walking down the street => a bit odd, but looking after a toddler can drive us all to slightly odd behaviour

MistyMeena · 22/04/2018 10:46

I spend more time than is strictly necessary in my dressing gown. I answer the door wearing it it. How on earth is going in your own garden at 10am in one an odd thing to do?

My mother thinks I'm a completely sloven but I care not 😀

Writersblock2 · 22/04/2018 10:47

Fgs, it’s Sunday. I’m barely awake, and the plan is to stay in my pjs all day.

I'm sitting in my dressing gown just now but I've already been out & done a 3 mile run, a food shop & cleaned my flat this morning but I've had all the windows open & it's chilly so I've chucked it on to keep me warm while I have a cuppa... if I need to nip out to put something in my bin it's good to know the neighbours who wouldn't have been up early enough to see me head out or get back in will think I'm a lazy slob Hmm

daisychain01 · 22/04/2018 10:48

I'm ironing in my PJs, sorry OP I'll just rush off and put my best Ted Baker 👗 and high heels 👠 on

liz70 · 22/04/2018 10:48

"It's sunday morning, its hot.."

Not here it's not! Just had rain.

I was in my nightie and wellies in the back garden at around 8 this morning, collecting stones for our new tadpole tank. Very dignified! Grin

Mrsmadevans · 22/04/2018 10:48

It is utterly disgusting OP and l am afraid a sad reflection of the times .
