Oh the joy of summer!

I tried fake tan. My legs look slightly dirty now.

yolofish · 20/04/2018 19:18

I think being white all over is lovely, as is black/mahogany/golden (insert skin type here) but the blotches, freckles blah blah. people tell me how lovely freckles are, but they dont have them... or the melanomas that accompany fair skin (of which I have had 2 and am awaiting the next one...)

babybluegirl · 20/04/2018 19:21

I’d say I can beat everyone- when I worked in the US people used to come to my office to see the really REALLY white girl - apparently u can’t see my legs in the sun - virtually translucent and they refuse to accept fake tan

Queenio24 · 20/04/2018 19:22

Mine are the colour of the inside of a pork pie. And the shape of a baguette. I am so blessed.

😂😂

NoIsACompleteAnswerSometimes · 20/04/2018 19:46

Grew up in Australia-palest kid in school. Sister walks out into the sunshine, comes in looking like a sun-tanned Spanish goddess. Bitch.

MsVestibule · 20/04/2018 20:10

Both of my sisters tan really well. I really don't. Tried for years, all I got was very bad heat rash.

In the past, I would never have shown my legs without fake tan. I then met up with a friend who was as pale as me and she wore a knee length skirt WITHOUT WEARING FAKE TAN!!! It was a revelation to me that this was even allowed and I haven't worn it since. It's actually quite liberating. And I don't have to wash my sheets as often, but that's a different thread...

Flooffloof · 20/04/2018 20:21

Am currently milk bottle white, but by the end of summer, I will be brown
Just in time to cover up for winter. Hmm

MyRunMyPace · 20/04/2018 20:32

😄 at the poster that said their legs had an albedo of 1.

I have the whitest of legs. I don't even care, and I certainly CBA applying fake tan.

iklboo · 20/04/2018 20:41

Mine only come out when hell freezes over and the hole in my arse heals up. I look like Lofty from It Ain't Half Hot Mum in shorts.

TheFrenchLieutenantsMonkey · 20/04/2018 21:04

Milk Blancmange legs here. As is the rest of my body except my forearms. I darent getvthem out because
A. They are blinding and
B. They are so wide they reflect the sunlight and double the rays for those around me.

See, I want not to care, but I do care!

@BlondeB83 - what is this wonderful fake tan you've found? I would pay a king's ransom for one that didn't make my legs orange and streaky.

MyRunMyPace thank you for getting that and finding it funny Grin

BlondeB83 · 20/04/2018 21:49

St Tropez Express Bronzing mousse! It’s the only one I’ve used that hasn’t gone streaky!

WeAllHaveWings · 20/04/2018 21:49

My legs are white with a hint of blue, anything above the ankles hasnt seen the sun since 1994 when they burnt really badly on a Caribbean holiday.

AlecOrAlonzo · 20/04/2018 22:11

I'm from very far north. I'm a bit gingery. I've never fake tanned (not even for my wedding). I haven't been abroad in years and years.

I care not one jot!

TokyoSushi · 20/04/2018 22:12

I've just bought some Dove gradual tan to try & sort them out a bit!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 20/04/2018 22:18

I managed to have a shower and only shave one leg today. I also then fell asleep listening to a podcast and have an actual red stripe of sunburn down my leg- and it’s not even the same one!! So I have one white and hairy, and one smooth and stripy.

CazY777 · 20/04/2018 22:21

I asked my husband yesterday if my legs looked too veiny, and he said 'No, its just your alabaster white legs make them stand out more'. Great!

I'm very pale, but perfectly happy with it as I'm somewhat of a Goth. But I come from a different culture where this is unusual so I've had plenty of comments, most commonly when buying makeup and having to fend against the advice to 'warm up' my skin tone.

The only time I've noticed someone else's paleness, was a lass that pretty much literally glowed, it's about as close to a fairy as a human can get. Thought she looked amazing actually.

CuckingFunt1987 · 20/04/2018 23:43

It's been 26degrees today in Northumberland ! Bloody lovely ! My legs were covered but I did dig out a summery top and now have tanned shoulders , arms and face . It has been amazing weather today

CanIBuffalo · 20/04/2018 23:46

Clarins do drops to add to your usual body lotion if you want to take the glare off legs.
3rd day in and using twice as much as thry recommend and I don't need sunglasses to look at mine.
I wouldn't mind a bit if they looked like the PP's pic upthread but mine are old and getting veiny looking and the fake tan helps.

SerenDippitty · 21/04/2018 14:38

I use St Tropez gradual tanning lotion. It’s the best of that kind of lotion I’ve tried.

stripesandspots10 · 21/04/2018 14:43

Mine are so pale! I put fake tan on to save me some embarrassment. Wish I hadn't Now! It's even worse! Bright orange legs and pale body 😂 a massive fail

derxa · 21/04/2018 14:46

I've got welly marks on mine plus bruises from climbing gates. My feet are a horror story all of their own. Pale legs are the least of it. I need a complete overhaul.
