I am shocked that ANY estate agent would advertise this. It's a chuffing disgrace! An ACTUAL disgrace!

We’re not all idiots overnight the vast majority of people who live in London will be under no illusions as to what we could afford elsewhere but have reasons we continue/won’t move elsewhere. I would find it incredibly hard to get work anywhere else, and there’s a huge amount of people in my position. I’m certainly not ‘miserable’ or ‘living like rats’ thanks...

I suspect it's an illegal.conversion. there don't appear to be any windows. It's basically a very badly done garage conversion.

About 20 years ago me and DH viewed a ‘flat’ for rent in London which was quite clearly a largish bedroom, but that one is really special!

People in London realise what they can get out of London.
However, you also have to factor that to live out and commute in would cost about the same if not more than just living in London. That's of course if you can get the deposit and everything together to move outside of London.
Getting a job outside London isn't easy.
Those living in London generally aren't miserable or living like rats.

Commuting isn't always possible with certain jobs either. For example anyone who works nights in a London hospital would need to be pretty central to get there for shifts.

That is so grim. £750 where I am would get you a nice 3 bed house with a proper garden.

There’s no way there is room for a 49” tv in there. That box must belong to someone else.

But it has a bathroom AND a bedroom slash kitchen slash lounge! Less to tidy, less to heat. You can reach the fridge from your bed so no stubbing your toe on your late night walk to get cheese!
