Just over two years ago I could barely walk across a room without crutches and weighed nearly 21 stone, on Sunday after losing just over 10 stone I completed Brighton Marathon.

Would I be bu to mention this at every opportunity and wear my t-shirt and medal constantly for the next month????

NellythePink · 17/04/2018 23:52

I would have that printed onto business cards and hand it out to everyone I met. Massive congratulations, OP Grin

You are amazing, @firef1y, and so is @AnotherOriginalUsername - and you have given me hope that maybe one day I will be able to say something similar.

At the moment, I am over 21 stone - I was more, but have been losing weight very gradually, using calorie counting, and slowly improving my activity levels. I still can’t walk far, let alone run, but I would love to be able to run for fun - even if I couldn’t do a marathon, it would be so good to be able to go out jogging and enjoy it.

altiara · 18/04/2018 00:03

WOW!! YANBU!! Congratulations!

QueenofSerene · 18/04/2018 00:03

Absofuckinglutely! Congrats! I did something similar, about 3yrs ago I lost 11 stone, and ended up doing a bunch of those obstacle courses, my medals hang proudly on my walls as if they’re a work of art! Yell it from the rooftops, it’s the best feeling in the world feeling like you’ve got your body back!

SmallBlondeMama · 18/04/2018 00:06

Amazing!! Of course you would want to shout it from the rooftops :)

Greenyogagirl · 18/04/2018 00:07

Oh my goodness that is seriously bloody amazing!

firef1y · 18/04/2018 07:41

@MadMags It took me around 20 months to lose the 142lb, and I genuinely lost it by eating a little less and moving a lot more. I log my food on MyFitnessPal and have my fitbit linked so I have a pretty good idea how much I should be eating. I very rarely ate less than 2000 Calories a day and often ate a lot more and as my weight dropped my activity level rapidly rose.

@firef1y I hope I don’t upset anyone else by saying that’s even more impressive!!!

SaucyJane · 18/04/2018 09:36

You should be featured in a magazine as an inspirational story :)

Coconutspongexo · 18/04/2018 09:36

Well done!

Foxysoxy10 · 18/04/2018 09:42

You need to get a tshirt printed with your photo crossing the finish line and wear it all the time, in fact you could get some printed for friends and family and make them wear it everyday for at least a month!

Therunecaster · 18/04/2018 10:49

Wow. Just wow x

MintyChops · 18/04/2018 11:09
