Hello! 👋 Waves to all and sorry for those with real reasons for insomnia. I'm just too hot. In spare room to avoid hot (temperature) husband and pet.

waves Woke up by 4 month old DD for a feed at 2am. She's now snoring and I can't get back to sleep

Not still awake, but on my way to work, I’m in Korea.

Weather is weird here, it’s usually humid already by this time of year but this year it is quite cold still.

Nice to have people to chat to, I’m usually on when everyone’s asleep!

I’ve got lots on my mind, and now the bloody birds are chirping away. I have a busy couple of days and am gonna feel like shite 😢

37 weeks pregnant here. Am an insomniac even without being pregnant and I really struggled with sleep all of last night. Finally fell into blissful sleep about 4.30 and now bloody dog just woke me up to go out. I love her to bits but I hate her right now.

It takes me ages to get back to sleep and I have to be up at 7. Not sure if I should count my losses and just get up now. Grrrr

I don’t think I can do this when I’ve got a baby waking me up too. My partner would get up if I asked him but I’m a much lighter sleeper than him and once the dog’s woken me I can’t get back to sleep anyway so may as well be me that lets her out. Got to get a dog flap fitted before the baby comes! Glass back door so not straightforward,
Yet another thing for the scarily long list of shit I need to do before I give birth any day now. Fuckity fuck

Does everyone else house feel like a sauna tonight I've opened the back door twice (to let heat out and hopefully let cooler air in)...but the house still feels hot ..I'm not complaining (I'd rather have the warmth than all those horrible cold snaps we had)...but I don't know how I will sleep tonight lol

Oooh meee. I'm up as can't sleep after a hefty cocktail of tramadol and coedine for bad pain. 3 kids a dog and oh snoring while I'm on the sofa watching family guy

I’m lying on my bed with the portable air con going full blast! Best thing I ever bought. I hate hot nights and used to lie awake for hours, and all fans do is circulate the hot air around which just makes me feel hotter!

Does the noise not drive you crackers ? It's pretty warm. I'm an oddball. Need to have duvet covering me regardless of the weather. And feet can never be out of the duvet. So hot nights are not my friend

I’m exactly the same in needing the duvet on me when I sleep. Hence the air con. People have laughed at me about that and i’m aware it seems silly! It’s somewhat noisy but it’s white noise. I can’t sleep with the tv on or anything but the air con doesn’t bother me.

The feet out of the duvet thing is because someone once told me when i was little that if your feet stick out the monsters under the bed get you by pulling you by your feet. Still can't sleep with my feet out how mad is that. Actually scarred for life. May give air con a go. Can't have my window open because of the noisy traffic and the fact I'm feared of moths ....

Haha. No I know what you mean. I don’t feel “safe” having my feet out either. I think it must be a comfort thing overall. It just feels weird lying on the bed with nothing over me. You should give the air con a go. There are places that will rent them out for a week or two so you could try it before committing to buying one. Mine doesn’t use much electric either, but then I also think we all pay to keep ourselves warm so why is it weird to pay something to keep cool?

Glad it's not just me on that front then. May have a mooch as my oh would benefit from.it too. He's the hottest person in bed....not even in.the good way its like sleeping next to an oven
