Very windy here in Scotland. Wide awake & have to be up early for work. Damn tinnitus Sad

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 17/04/2018 01:18

Madmomma my neighbour swears by taking a spoon of baking soda/bicarbonate of soda for stomach acid /heartburn (I think you put it in water and drink it) and it neutralises the stomach acid or something....

Crumb502 · 17/04/2018 01:20

I can't sleep either... daughter has been throwing up since 2pm and now has tag teamed my husband in to the vom fest!! I feel like a ticking time bomb 😱

Hueandcry · 17/04/2018 01:20

Just had to Google Bryson box - never heard of that!

4catsaremylife · 17/04/2018 01:20

V windy here in Yorks headed to bed shortly as back at work after a week of annual leave. But as sleep is often a stranger to me I second the live chat suggestion.

TheDeuteragonist · 17/04/2018 01:21

I have tonsilitis!

Left work early and slept 4pm - 10pm. Now wide awake with horrible sore throat binge watching iZombie on Netflix!

Blink1982 · 17/04/2018 01:21

I stayed awake anticipating the moment speaking of the baby. Turns out I missed out on 4 hours sleep.

Blink1982 · 17/04/2018 01:22

Imminent awaking

ethelfleda · 17/04/2018 01:23

Baby won't sleep! He must won't sleep! I've had about 4 weeks of getting between 90minutes and 3 hours each night of broken sleep. I feel like I have been kicked down the stairs. It all seems so depressing. Like there is no light at the end of the tunnel anymore. Other people seem to have these magic babies who sleep for 10 hours sleep and mine won't go more than an hour at a time some nights. Why?? I wish I could believe this is going to get better but I can't anymore. I've lost the energy to even be optimistic. I just want to run away.

mmukito · 17/04/2018 01:23

Baby is fast asleep, why can't I sleep at night!!?

TheQueenOfWands · 17/04/2018 01:24

The alarm clock app on my kindle just sent me a 'bedtime reminder'.

I told it to fuck off.

It's DS's first day back at school tomorrow and he's had some issues with bullying. He's nearly 15 and 6'1" but I still think of him as my baby and I'm worried.

fixyourgardengate · 17/04/2018 01:24

I have had a little sleep but will now be wide awake until the painkillers kick in. Bloody sciatica. Angry

mmukito · 17/04/2018 01:25

terrible!!

nursy1 · 17/04/2018 01:25

Not windy in N Yorks. It howls down the chimney in our bedroom if it is and keeps me awake. I slept on couch from 8 pm to 11 pm. Wide awake now!!!!

nursy1 · 17/04/2018 01:26

Queenofwands
Have you spoken to the school?

NellythePink · 17/04/2018 01:27

Hello Smile I can't sleep because I'm in hospital being induced. I only dropped in this yesterday morning because I was a bit concerned about reduced movements, but they said I should stay and be induced to be on the safe side Shock I'm only 38 weeks. Now it's 1:30am, my DH has gone home, and I'm lying in a room with a Spanish couple waiting for a bed in the delivery suite. She is screaming in Spanish, poor lady, and massively freaking me out. Hope you are all having a better night than I am!

TheDeuteragonist · 17/04/2018 01:27

How old is baby, ethel?

I've been where you are, it feels never ending. I know it's probably not much comfort now but it does get better.

nursy1 · 17/04/2018 01:29

Oh no Nelly. Hope they find her a bed soon x

ethelfleda · 17/04/2018 01:31

Deuter he is 5 and a half months.

I hope you're right. This is like torture! Considering giving up breastfeeding and never thought I would say that.

mmukito have been there too. Insomnia when your baby is fast asleep is bloody cruel.

Thebirthdayparty · 17/04/2018 01:31

Very windy here, so much for the (mild) heatwave we were promised. I debated bringing my coat out this morning when I saw the sun shining in the windows. An hour later, it was windy and chilly. This afternoon I was wearing my heaviest anorak style coat!

TheDeuteragonist · 17/04/2018 01:36

ethel, my DD didn't sleep on her own until she was 9 months old. It was pure torture. She would only sleep when held and if you attempted to put her down, even co sleep, she would wake and cry.

She's 2.5 now and sleeps 7-7 most nights.

I hope it gets better for you soon

happymummy12345 · 17/04/2018 01:37

Hi everyone. We regularly go to bed late, mostly due to dh's work. So I'm used to being awake at this time. (Usually go to bed anytime between 1-3am, closer to 1 hopefully, up when ds (2.7 months) wakes up, so between 6-7 of late. I'm so wide awake it's unbelievable.

ethelfleda · 17/04/2018 01:37

Thank you deuter
How did you survive with no sleep? It's literally painful!

ethelfleda · 17/04/2018 01:38

birthday heatwave starts mid week Smile
