I've owned several pairs, and they get ample use living in Australia. I've been wearing them from September through to now (going to the beach today in an unseasonably warm mid-autumn), and I've owned this pair for at least 4 years.

So they get the tick of approval from me and most other Australians.

Animal Swish are THE comfiest flip flops.

em9283 · 13/04/2018 22:10

Go for it and don't look back! I love mine 😁

QuantumGirl · 13/04/2018 22:18

I'm traumatised of them. I spend my childhood in Brazil and my dad used to smack me on the bum with Havaianas. I can barely look at them so I only buy Roxy 😂

Pinkmexicanskull · 13/04/2018 22:19

I left mine in the back of a taxi in Paris and spent four hours hunting them down the next day as they were so insanely comfortable. They are the only things I wear in the summer

HarryDresdensLeatherDuster · 13/04/2018 22:38

Very comfortable and last for ever. I am now up to 6 pairs as they are my slippers as well as my 'wear constantly' footwear for about 7 months of the year! Even if the toe post pulls through, you just shove it back and they go on.

As for 'cool', they are the only flip-flops my 20 something media involved DC will wear...

blinkineckmum · 13/04/2018 22:58

I live in mine April - October too. I have had about 3 or 4 pairs and they last 10 years. So comfy and durable. Love them!

MaisieDuke · 14/04/2018 00:28

Going against the grain here.
Please have a look at Gandys.
Much 'cooler'
More comfortable
And money goes to charity .

Nakedavenger74 · 14/04/2018 01:41

@HarryDresdensLeatherDuster flip flops (thongs/jandals) are so ubiquitous here in Aus/NZ that has its own phrase; 'busting a plugger'. It's also a well know fix for a bust plugger to use the little plastic closers you get on loaves of bread. We have a kitchen drawer full of them for such events!

God, I hate flip flops. Hate the feeling of that bit of plastic between my toes and hate the shlupping sound they make as people shlup by in them.

And I have an absolute and total aversion to men in flip flops. They may be just about tolerable on tanned surfer dudes but in the past couple of years all the pasty trottered men have started sporting them too. And I don't like it. I saw a guy today (in freezing cold Glasgow) shlup shlupping around Waitrose in tracksuit bottoms and flip flops. I got the feeling he thought he was being Californian cool. He wasn't.

Dontletthebastardsgrindyoudown · 14/04/2018 01:59

@Sausagema I'm an April to October sandal person too... not this year though it's like an eternal winter up here Sad

HappyEverIftar · 14/04/2018 05:45

My cat loves them.. she's chewed through 7 pairs Shock

I now keep them under lock and key in my bedroom!

piefacedClique · 14/04/2018 08:12

I love mine.... have got a whole shoe hanger thing from ikea full of them. they have some more unusual styles now which I thought would be uncomfortable but they aren’t! They are amazing and pretty too! Definately go for the slim ones over the originals.

EmiliaAirheart · 14/04/2018 08:45

Hate them, they're so uncomfortable. Reef is a much better brand - comfy as anything and last forever, though they're not as ubiquitous. You can always find them online though.

FluffyWhiteTowels · 14/04/2018 08:57

I prefer my Birkenstocks

Weedsnseeds1 · 14/04/2018 09:10

I love them. Incredibly comfortable and last for years.
I occasionally go to Brazil for work and stock up there as they are much cheaper.
I get mine blinged as the Havianas shop have a tray of little charms they will apply for you ( can you get that here - never looked to be honest?)

fussychica · 14/04/2018 09:28

Well I'm definitely no style guru but I love my flip flops. Live in them. I have these and Ipanema and both wear extremely well. My black and soft gold are my favourite's but I fear they are on the way out after about 4 years. The upside is I can look for a lovely new pair.

Luckingfovely · 14/04/2018 09:29

Yes! Wouldn't wear anything else!

I see it is going to be 16 degrees later... I may have to go and dig them out Grin

Luckingfovely · 14/04/2018 09:30

They often have the blingy pop-up shop in Selfridges....

LaundryHepburn · 14/04/2018 09:44

I live in a hot country. I get them out in March and put them away in November. Got about five pairs. They generally last 5-7 years for me.

alphajuliet123 · 14/04/2018 11:28

piefaced I am considering that style for this summer, do they rub on the heels at all?

Also, please show your flip flop hanger, feel like I might need one in my life!

piefacedClique · 14/04/2018 11:38

Not at all. I was really worried they would but they are soooo comfy.... the hanger is just one of these.... it looks like a pride flag when it’s full.....🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 not unpacked from hols yet so Mine is a bit depleted. I’ve just found out my new school don’t allow flip flops in the summer! I’m gutted!!!!

Have these too and they are super comfortable... even with heat swollen plane feet!

donajimena · 14/04/2018 11:44

I couldn't wear flip flops . Those horrible toe posts. I have since discovered Animal fabric toe post flip flops and I am a huge convert..I have 5 pairs.

w12newmum · 14/04/2018 11:46

I’m not a flip flop fan as find them uncomfortable, these are the best rubber type I’ve had
