To ask for recommendations of knickers that stay in the right place?

Just that really! I work long shifts on my feet in a hospital, and seem to spend a disproportionate amount of time fishing my pants out of my arse crack Blush It doesn't particularly seem to matter which ones I'm wearing either! I tend to favour shorts style pants, my days of wearing thongs are long gone! At the same time, I'd rather avoid something which gave an obvious VPL... Any suggestions of decent brands/styles to try?

Sloggi - the Le Creuset of undies..

RedPandaMama · 11/04/2018 19:00

Everyone recommends Sloggi including my mum. I can't really afford them, I get Matalan high leg knickers and they're sooo comfy and decent for the price, I think 5 pairs for £6. Funky patterns too!

0lgaDaPolga · 11/04/2018 19:02

Calvin Klein. So they are so comfortable. I got some when I was pregnant and I can’t buy any others now.

Bambamber · 11/04/2018 19:02

I normally pop into TK maxx as they often have a range of brands and styles including comfortable pants that are designed not to give a VPL. Can be a bit hit and miss with what they have in though

LIZS · 11/04/2018 19:08

Sloggi are the quality what they once were. I'm considering defecting Shock just looking for an alternative.

LIZS · 11/04/2018 19:08

not the quality ...

foxyloxy78 · 11/04/2018 19:09

Marks and spencer full briefs. They stay firmly in place.affordable too in a multi pack.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 11/04/2018 19:13

Don't hate me, but have you tried a size bigger?

The M&S seamless range are pretty good. I wore them on a 100km walk, 21 hours and they didn't fall down, get eaten by my bum crack or chafe.

As per previous suggestions, Sloggi are great, I should have listened to my 90 year old grandmother years ago. That being said, my current day to day go-to are Sainsbury's cotton ones in a pack of 5 for a few quid mainly due to one of my dogs currently having a gusset fetish

MyNameIsFartacus · 11/04/2018 19:17

Urgh, gusset fetish- grim (my dog is the same sadly!) The pants I wear defo aren't too small, I think maybe it's just the shape of my bum that pushes them up Grin

Marks and Spencer seamless range are so comfy. I no longer feel like I have elastic digging into me and I don’t have double muffin around my hips Grin

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 11/04/2018 19:19

I bought a pack of M&S seamless black pants and a pack of seamless white. Both the same size. The black ones are definitely a size bigger than the white ones when you measure them against one another. Annoying. The black are comfy though.

minipie · 11/04/2018 19:22

I have a knicker eating bum too. After many years with a wedgie I found Gap's low rise teeny bikini pants. They are cotton and they just do not ride up, and they manage it without super tight elastic. Always available in black white and grey plus a changing set of patterned options. There's usually some kind of 3 for 2 offer on.

I found Sloggi too high waisted/long gussetted for me plus my mum wears them

MagnoliasBloom · 11/04/2018 19:24

Tesco full briefs 4 pack get my 100% recommendation. So comfy you can’t feel them on, inexpensive and wash well. Not a hint of movement or fishing out fabric Smile try them!

MagnoliasBloom · 11/04/2018 19:27

^^ Oh and no vpl as the elastic goes under the bum instead of cutting halfway across, they safely hold a behind in place Smile

Tr1skel1on · 11/04/2018 19:29

M&S big pants with the pretty lace trim round the waistband, I think they call them full briefs. They come in affordable multipacks. No VPL under hospital uniform (I wear a similar uniform myself for work) & the comfiest pants you will ever wear.

They are enormous though!!! :) Don't let that put you off, they are fab.

rainbowfudgee · 11/04/2018 19:30

Shorts style pants are literally a pain in the arse.
You need bikini or full brief 😊

EnglishGirlApproximately · 11/04/2018 19:31

After extensive research including expensive brands I’ve settled on Sainsbury’s TU shorts that you get in a 5 pack! Comfortable, stay in place, wash well and done still going strong after about three years

NoHunsHereHun · 11/04/2018 21:16

Another vote for the m&s full briefs. I LOVE the no vpl microfibre ones

KnitFastDieWarm · 11/04/2018 22:07

I swear by TU sainsburys midis or full coverage multipacks - cheap, comfy, wash well, don’t ride up your arse Grin I agree with whoever said size up - swallow your pride, go up a size and you’re far less likely to get vpl/riding up issues.

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 11/04/2018 22:16

I have the answer for you OP.

Primark full size knickers (sorry don't know their proper name). But you'll find them in a 3 pack, they have the secret ingredient which is ELASTIC AROUND THE LEG HOLES

Any other knickers, no matter how long in the leg, will ride up to nestle where you don't want them. It's the leg elastic that you need to look for.

Sloggi have it too but are much more expensive.

BlondeB83 · 11/04/2018 22:19

Pink by VS have a good range for everyday.

NetVolume · 11/04/2018 22:22

Another vote for m and s seamless. You can pick them up cheaply on ebay too.

Mytholmroyd · 11/04/2018 22:27

Another fan of M&S microfibre noVPL full briefs - I love them and only really give them up in the hottest part of summer when I need Jockey skimmies thigh length shorts to prevent chafing Blush

muchtodobutstopforcuddles · 11/04/2018 23:01

Kinky Knickers are sooooo comfy!

GaraMedouar · 11/04/2018 23:06

Tesco full briefs. Remind me of my old ‘navy blues’ that we had to wear for PE at school.
