Yes. Courageous people.

I have not seen much of the Comey interview but see that some people claim he has a problem with women in authority (or trusting them). It's not evident to me but I will look again and at his upcoming interviews with this in mind.

lionheart · 16/04/2018 19:05

My goodness, the Comey household just before and after the election must have been something else.

Yesterday Nikki Haley (US ambassador to the UN) said that there would be more sanctions against Russia. Today, change of plan.

I do hope this true...

Jim Acosta
@Acosta
Michael Cohen disclosed in court that the client who had requested to remain unnamed was Sean Hannity our @ShimonPro reports.

I'm sure Americans out there can explain who Hannity is better than I can, but judging by his internet presence he's Trumps biggest cheerleader on Fox News. He gives the impression of being a flabbier even more unpleasant version of Piers Morgan.

Sleipnirthewonderhorse · 16/04/2018 20:19

That post didn't make much sense without history - apparently Cohen's other clients had asked not to be named .

Sean Hannity, hey?
And there was me thinking he'd survive the sex scandal wave. He may well, though.

AcrossthePond55 · 17/04/2018 00:42

According to 'confidential sources', it's being said that Hannity supposedly 'retained' Cohen as he was concerned that his bosses at Fox wanted him out due to of some sort of 'pressure' from outside parties. Very vague and may not even be true.

AcrossthePond55 · 17/04/2018 00:44

That pretty much sums it up.

According to RT (I know), there have been fresh missile strikes in Syria over Homs. The Pentagon has denied activity in the area. Footage and some reviews say it could be an Israeli strike. Obviously read this with caution as it is new and from RT.

cozietoesie · 17/04/2018 00:56

From Business Insider.

" • Syrian air defenses are responding to a new series of strikes, according to multiple news reports published on Monday night.
• Syrian state news organizations claimed that the missiles, which targeted Shayrat air base, were shot down by air defenses but did not identify who fired them, Reuters reported.
• Syrian state media is widely believed to exaggerate their claims of shooting down incoming missiles.
• The same air base was targeted by US missiles in 2017, after it was suspected of being involved in a previous chemical attack that killed at least 70 people in the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhoun.
• A US Central Command official told Business Insider that the command was aware of the reports.
• Pentagon spokesman Eric Pahond said there was "no US military activity in that area at this time," according to The Jerusalem Post.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates."

Thanks cozie. Here’s a link from The Guardian with almost exactly the same information as RT.

This is relation to bakery company McKee giving all their employees a $1000 bonus. This is lovely, but it is simply an addition to annual salary, not an intrinsic part of it. The wording is unfortunate, too: “crumbs” in this context can mean “very tiny amount”.

Hannity's official statement:
my de minimis discussions with Michael Cohen, which dealt almost exclusively about real estate

www.hannity.com/media-room/sean-hannity-on-media-coverage-of-michael-cohen-in-us-district-court-before-judge-kimba-wood/

Um, isn't that a dangerous claim for Hannity?

Cohen is being criminally investigated for his financial and business dealings. Real estate seems to have been a vehicle for money laundering and influence-buying – Maddow highlighted buying and selling of Trump real estate at odd prices by Russians, and Manafort was actually indicted for it.
ny.curbed.com/2017/10/30/16570266/paul-manafort-indictment-new-york-real-estate

Why would Hannity not talk to his usual lawyer if he just wanted ordinary legal advice on ordinary real estate? You know, like he presumably did when he bought his house?

What sort of discussion would he have specially wanted Cohen for?

Roussette · 17/04/2018 08:51

Read over night about the Hannity?Cohen thang. Surely it's an ethical conflict of interests as he defends Cohen to the hilt on his 'show'. (Can't call it 'News')
He should be fired, how can anyone believe what he says? He goes to MaraLago for dinner regularly. Two pigs in muck (45 and Hannity)

Roussette · 17/04/2018 08:52

Hannity/Cohen thang is what I meant to say

ohmymimi · 17/04/2018 09:18

Mooted on Nicolle Wallace's 'Deadline: White House', yesterday evening, that Hannity was using Cohen as a fixer re. blowback from his Seth Rich/HRC/murder conspiracy theory 'reporting' - possibly via services of a PI. Hannity immediately denied this to Wallace. Hannity divorce could also be a factor, if Cohen has the dirty on stuff Hannity doesn't want his wife to know.

Cohen reminds me too much of the lawyer in Breaking Bad/Better call Saul - Saul Goodman, the criminal lawyer... “you don’t need a criminal lawyer, you need a criminal lawyer!”^^
