To ask what your toddler ate today?

Hobnobsarenotfordunking · 09/04/2018 17:37

After a few days or barely eating anything today my 17 month old has eaten:

A banana
A bowl of shredded
A slice of toast
A rice tea biscuit
A lunchbox malt loaf
A goodies oaty bar
A hobnob
About 30 blueberries
3 satsumas
A tea-cake
1 small tin of beans
1 slice of toast
2 small yogurts

I am aware a lot of that list isn’t great for him- now he is eating well again I can readdress the balance and get more veggies and proper dinners in! He ate a full Sunday roast yesterday and plans have meant it needed to be a quick tea.

What have your toddlers had? I need inspiration for new ideas and to know that mine isn’t going to end up obese for eating everything he had today!

Nearly 3 year old.

Eaten...
Half a banana
Half a slice of toast
Small tin of spaghetti hoops
Slice of cheese
Half a ham sandwich

Offered and refused:
Weetabix
Apple
Carrots
Swede
Blueberries
I had a nice cottage pie that I didn’t even bother heating up as she took one look at it and declared she hated it Hmm

My 8 month old eats more than her. She is just NEVER hungry and it’s infuriating.

UnicornRainbowColours · 09/04/2018 19:50

Banana and cereal, chicken soup, toast with philly spread, half a pear and half an Apple.

Half a packet of Pom bears, beef stew and yogurt and fruit.

HeyMicky · 09/04/2018 19:53

DD, nearly 3, had:

Couple of spoons of greek yoghurt with honey and a satsuma for breakfast, plus a bowl of rice Krispies at nursery.

Nursery lunch of cottage pie with added lentils and carrots and broccoli on the side (had seconds of the pie), followed by a small slice of cheesecake

Afternoon snack of a digestive biscuit

Supper of 1 1/2 sausages, a tablespoon of pasta in cheese sauce, and a teaspoon each of peas, sweetcorn and baked beans, followed by some grapes, strawberries and blueberries.

A small amount for diluted apple juice at breakfast, otherwise water to drink.

RedForFilth · 09/04/2018 19:57

3yo:
Breakfast of Cornflakes then 1 piece of toast.
Lunch at nursery: Sausage and bean casserole with new potatoes and carrots followed by semolina and fruit.

Pack up that I made for his tea at nursery: wholemeal sandwich thin with egg mayo, raw pepper, sweetcorn, few wotsits, piece of cheese, grapes and strawberries and a small homemade crispie cake. I know that seems a lot bit I've had more success giving small portions of a variety of things.

Before bed: banana and milk.

Omgwtfbbq · 09/04/2018 19:57

She’s one and just toddling...

Plain porridge with whole milk
Breadsticks with hummus
Cheese omelette with sweetcorn and peas
Biscuit
Rice cakes
Fish pie (homemade - tried to give her mostly fish and veg)
Vitamin drops in a shot glass of milk
Five breastfeeds

She eats huge portions... My three year old eats less usually 😐

3 yr old DS had:
Digestive biscuit - I was feeding the baby in bed when he woke up so had this to keep him going until I could make him breakfast
Weetabix with semi skimmed milk because we'd run out of full fat. Only ate half, don't know if that's related to the different milk.
Cheese sandwich and cupcake in a cafe
Banana
Cracker
Fish fingers, sweet potato mash and broccoli
Mini Smarties

MotherofDinosaurs · 09/04/2018 21:51

2 and three quarters:

Nothing very imaginative here

Weetabix and strawberries
A mini milkybar
A quarter of ham sandwich
A punnet of blueberries
Three quarters of a slice of cheese on toast
A smoked mackerel fillet with the rest of the ham sandwich and some chopped up cucumber and tomato (was going to do chilli and rice for dinner but he found smoked mackerel in the fridge and said he wanted it right now so I improvised. He didn't eat the sandwich)
A yoghurt
A small piece of cheese and a rich tea biscuit at bedtime.

Also about 100ml of milk at bedtime and first thing

WhingyNinja · 09/04/2018 21:56

2yo daughter

-Peanut butter on toast with a sliced banana
-Babybel
-Box of raisins
-Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel
-blueberries
-satsuma
-I made chicken curry and rice for dinner but she was more keen on the poppadom than anything I made 🙄

Tortycat · 09/04/2018 22:50

Dc are 3.5 and 1.5. Youngest eats more than oldest - oldest drives me round the bend with his eating.

1.5 year old
Bowl of cheerios (left the shredded wheat)
Half a banana and some grapes

2 breadsticks

Half a bowl tuna, pasta and sweetcorn
Half an apple
Home made muffin

Home made sesame chicken nuggets
Some peas
Left all the rice
Yoghurt and pear

Cup of milk and several breastfeeds. Typical day. 3.5 year old was offered the same but ate all the cereal, instead of tuna had half a humous sandwich, and also left the chicken. He seems to live on plain carbs and fruit Sad
