He didn't - he instead visited Sainsburys marked down section (God we both love a reduced sticker!) But Morocco - really???
I'm not 100% obsessed with only buying produce within season but the strawberries smell of ... air - no strawberry aroma, just nothing really.
What is the point of flying these foodstuffs in at vast expense? Because people buy them I guess.
Nothing is a seasonal treat anymore and we all expect everything, all year round.

How much does it actually cost to put a 1kg of strawberries in the belly of a plane that is flying anyway? Ryanair fly 100kg of person for 20quid of which the tax man is is taking over half...

In this country we use heated poly tunnels, tractors and manufactured fertiliser. In countries such as Morocco and Kenya, crops harvested manually, fertiliser is natural and a lot of crops are flown in the holds of passenger planes. I don't find it easy to weigh up how to shop to be honest.

Sainsbury’s have British strawberries now. We have had two punnets this weekend. Not quite as nice as outdoor grown but much much tastier than Moroccan or Spanish. Egyptian aren’t too bad though.

I honestly don't care about out of season fruit. At least it keeps people in a job. Don't really notice a difference tbh
