Football over seeing me?

Mellodrama · 07/04/2018 10:10

...to be concerned that my DP would rather watch the footy than come round to see me (on an evening he usually would, when his DC's go to their mums)?

Or is it just a typical man thing? I'm hoping just that Sad

"ForalltheSaints

If he is a Man U supporter then not good. Though why he would want to watch them get thrashed I have no idea."

No Man Utd fan would have wanted to miss that thrashing. 😏

MummaGiles · 07/04/2018 19:37

Who does he support? If either of the Manchester teams then it was a big game today.

Zeelove · 07/04/2018 19:38

😂

Grin

The best kind of thrashing. Imagine being 2-0 up and losing 3-2....why anyone would want to watch that I have no idea.

It was a huge match that could have seen City crowned Champions.

We allowed Ds to buy a sports day pass especially. But he’s a very unhappy chappy this evening.

If he's a red, then he's an unreasonable twat and I think you should LTB. If he's a blue then I think, for daring to question his passion, you should accept his hobby and do something special with him next time you are together. HTH 😉

Viviennemary · 07/04/2018 20:03

I'd say that's completely normal male behaviour. And I don't think twice in ten months is that bad.

albusFilch I reckon you need to read the thread or perhaps improve your reading comprehension a little Wink

@jacques I drink pints and lost my virginity before 17 and I am definitely not a man!

Joining everyone else in saying that sounds fine. It's healthy to maintain separate interests from the relationship

Mellodrama · 08/04/2018 13:37

Thank you all for kicking some perspective up my backside and making me see sense before going all psycho on his arse! Confused

It's the Tuesday Liverpool game, he's a red (the better red though!) Wink

When my DP moved in with me I abandoned him every Saturday to go to the football. If there was a game on when I was meant to see him I went to the game.

My ex husband didn't let me go to the football etc. So when I moved into my own flat after having left him the first thing I done was get a season ticket.

So DP completely understood.

I am however missing a big game for work next week so I'm not amused.
